Always wanted to challenge the obvious and make great things happen? At Goodman we create space for your greatness.
Goodman is experiencing strong growth in its development activity in France, driven by data centre projects that enrich and diversify the group’s established portfolio of logistics warehouses and light industrial parks. These projects combine land, power, permitting, engineering and leasing challenges, and are leased under long-term, high-stakes contracts. Joining Goodman today means contributing to the development of some of France’s most significant digital infrastructure projects and helping shape the physical backbone of the AI, cloud and data economy.
To strengthen the development team based in Paris, we are looking for a Junior Business Development Manager. Reporting to the Director France, the jobholder will be a full member of our data centre project teams, working hand in hand with the project leads across the entire project lifecycle, from land and power securing through to leasing and delivery.
The role combines the two sides of our business: developing complex projects from A to Z and creating value by taking part in high-level negotiations with major technology companies.
This is a rare opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to development, investment, leasing and strategic decision-making within a rapidly growing asset class. From day one, the jobholder will be entrusted with meaningful responsibilities and will become a key contributor to projects worth hundreds of millions of euros.
The role is built for growth: working with seasoned project leads, the jobholder will take ownership of substantial workstreams from day one and broaden their scope as their expertise develops.
More concretely, this means you will get the opportunity to:
- Project development: contribution to land and power securing, feasibility studies and test-fits with the project teams; coordinating permitting strategy and supporting interactions with relevant authorities;
- Business case and investment: building and updating feasibility calculations and business plans; drafting of project briefs, investment committee papers and governance materials;
- Market intelligence: driving market intelligence and strategic analysis to identify emerging customer requirements, competitive dynamics and development opportunities;
- Leasing: preparation of commercial proposals and responses to customer requests with the project and central teams, building negotiation materials and taking part in negotiations with the project leads;
- Stakeholder relationships: ongoing relationships, alongside the project leads, with customers, public authorities, grid operators and strategic partners;
- Close collaboration with all departments (technical development, legal, transactions, funds, marketing), in France and within the Continental European teams.
Do you recognize yourself?
- Master’s degree in engineering, business or equivalent qualification;
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in real estate development or investment, transactions, consulting or infrastructure, ideally data centres, energy or logistics;
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, and comfort with contractual documents;
- Genuine interest in infrastructure, energy systems and digital technologies;
- Clear, structured written and oral communication, in French and English;
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and sustain a professional network;
- Rigour, curiosity, ability to lead multiple workstreams in a fast-moving environment and appetite for responsibility;
- Prior exposure to data centres is welcomed but not required.
What we offer
- The opportunity to take part in the development of some of the most strategic digital infrastructure projects in France;
- Exposure to every stage of the development lifecycle, from land acquisition and power securing through to customer negotiations and project delivery;
- Real responsibilities from day one, on large-scale data centre projects;
- Direct exposure to high-stakes negotiations with major technology companies;
- A steep learning curve alongside experienced development professionals;
- Significant autonomy and ownership from an early stage;
- The ability to build a rare combination of development, investment, technical and commercial skills;
- A career path shaped alongside experienced project leads, within an international group;
- International exposure through close collaboration with Goodman teams across Continental Europe.

Building for the future
Building and operating essential infrastructure comes with a real environmental impact. At Goodman, we don't shy away from that. We see it as a responsibility we owe to the generations who'll come after us, and as an opportunity to keep doing better, project after project. In practice, that means taking a long-term view of how what we build holds up over time, and building teams where different perspectives are genuinely valued. Because words only carry us so far, what counts is what actually gets achieved. It's an ongoing effort, made of small decisions as much as big ones, and one where the right people can push what's possible even further.
