Google is an American technology company founded in 1998 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin and now the principal subsidiary of Alphabet, headquartered in Mountain View, California. It operates the world's dominant search engine and the advertising system built around it, along with YouTube, Android, Chrome, Gmail, Maps, Workspace and Google Cloud, reaching billions of users across nearly every internet-connected market. The company designs its own silicon in the Tensor Processing Unit line, develops the Gemini foundation models through Google DeepMind, and derives most of its revenue from advertising while cloud has become its fastest growing segment.

About the job

At Google, we aim to foster Googley work environments that are collaborative, friendly and fun. The Facilities Management team brings our spaces to life as you oversee the daily operations of our offices. While roles with similar names at other companies can be far more mundane, you're a creative, organized customer service specialist, who takes pride in seeing things run smoothly and efficiently. You go out of your way to make sure that clients are not only satisfied, but singing Google's praises. You're comfortable in a fast-paced environment with the highest standards of excellence. You aren't afraid to have fun with your job, and bring an enthusiasm, dedication and a collaborative spirit to build and maintain office spaces that facilitate some of the world's most cutting edge innovation.

Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. As the Data Center Site Lead for Global Server Operations, you will be the primary owner of the site's server and network infrastructure. You will oversee the state-of-the-art physical infrastructure that powers Google’s search technology, ensuring the highest standards of reliability and performance through expert leadership and cross-functional alignment.

The Site Lead manages a team of Data Center Leaders and Technicians. Your team will install, configure, test, troubleshoot, and maintain critical hardware and server software. You will own outcomes for deployment and ongoing maintenance involving networks, storage, compute and AI infrastructure, while leading project teams through high-risk operational transitions and developing comprehensive contingency plans.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
