Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute end-to-end data migration efforts, including planning, design, execution, validation, and post-migration support.
  • Analyse legacy data structures (VSAM, DB2) and design transformation strategies into modern RDBMS and AWS environments.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and automation scripts using Python.
  • Design, implement, and maintain data models (conceptual, logical, and physical).
  • Manage and administer AWS RDS environments, ensuring high availability, performance optimisation, and security compliance.
  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance, data quality, and compliance standards.
  • Troubleshoot data-related issues and provide timely resolution.
  • Prepare technical documentation for data models, migration workflows, and architecture designs.
