Senior Software Engineer, Chrome Test Infrastructure

In this role, you will help ensure Chrome remains the safest, fastest and most reliable browser.

Our team is in charge of building and maintaining the processes and code that helps build the most beloved browser in the world.

Chrome is dedicated to building a better, more open web. We’re focused on making a better browser (on both desktop and mobile) to help users take advantage of all the web has to offer in a safe and secure way.Chrome is available across all major platforms - iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux and Chrome OS. We also built Chrome as an open source project so the entire web ecosystem could benefit from the latest innovations in speed, simplicity and security.

Responsibilities

• Build the next generation of test infrastructure.
• Integrate LLMs with our detection systems for more accurate pinpointing of issues.
• Develop novel algorithms for optimizing build and test run times.
• Work with Chrome developers to identify pain points in the Chrome release process.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms and software development in one or more programming languages.
• Experience with distributed systems and architecture, and systems integration.
• Experience in cloud/full-stack web development (e.g., Python, JavaScript).

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with ML algorithms and AI application development.
• 4 years of experience deploying Continuous Integration (CI)/Continuous Quality (CQ) systems.
• Experience with C++ development.
