Google is an American technology company founded in 1998 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin and now the principal subsidiary of Alphabet, headquartered in Mountain View, California. It operates the world's dominant search engine and the advertising system built around it, along with YouTube, Android, Chrome, Gmail, Maps, Workspace and Google Cloud, reaching billions of users across nearly every internet-connected market. The company designs its own silicon in the Tensor Processing Unit line, develops the Gemini foundation models through Google DeepMind, and derives most of its revenue from advertising while cloud has become its fastest growing segment.

About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will direct the cross-functional program strategy, governance, and operational frameworks for Google’s Modular Manufacturing and Integration organization. As a founding member of this newly formed team, you will operate with high autonomy, partnering directly with leadership to help define and shape how this organization operates from the ground up.

In this role, you will navigate high ambiguity to bridge the gap between long-term technical vision and pragmatic cross-organizational execution across multiple partner teams. You will direct a strategic portfolio of programs, establishing the operating models, planning cadences, and review mechanisms required to scale. Partnering closely with engineering, corp strategy, and finance leadership, you will reconcile priorities, track critical path dependencies, and translate complex technical trade-offs into actionable executive narratives and decision-making frameworks.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities

  • Translate long-term technical visions and ambitious goals into solid program plans with committed resources. Create, track, and troubleshoot large-scale initiatives to support the Organizational Plan and strategically drive capacity delivery and availability for Google's ML delivery roadmap.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Google Data Center and software stacks to drive innovation across the portfolio. Shape the technical direction and resource allocation models across partner teams.
  • Navigate early ambiguity to lead change-management initiatives, establish standard processes, and build scaling governance models.
  • Support a broad range of workstreams on day one, and your scope will naturally evolve to own specific strategic domains as the organization matures.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in technical program management, corporate strategy, business operations, product strategy, management consulting, or corporate development within technology, infrastructure, or industrial manufacturing sectors.
  • Experience formulating technical solutions and ideas on architecture, and interacting across many levels of seniority, from field construction through board reporting.
  • Ability to travel as needed for data center and cross-team interaction.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree, MBA, or other advanced graduate degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience leveraging AI/ML tools or automated workflows to accelerate operational efficiency, program tracking, and strategic decision-making.
  • Demonstrated experience establishing program governance, operational cadences, and portfolio operating models from scratch in high-growth or newly formed organizations.
  • Proven track record influencing executive leadership, reconciling cross-functional dependencies, and building alignment across executive stakeholders.
  • Domain fluency across hyperscale data center infrastructure, advanced hardware systems (AI compute/accelerators), power and cooling infrastructure, or capital-intensive industrial manufacturing.
