With technical and leadership expertise, you manage engineers across multiple teams and locations, a large product budget and oversee the deployment of large-scale projects across multiple sites internationally.
In this role, you will provide technical leadership as well as manage a team of security engineers who scope and perform comprehensive security reviews of devices that are going to be deployed in Google data centers. You will lead their efforts to develop and refine threat models, perform risk assessments, and define security requirements for hardware products entering Google’s data centers. You will improve the process to best achieve security in a landscape of many development teams. You will interact with different development teams and external vendors in different time zones.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.US: $207000 - $300000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
- Lead team of security engineers working on data center platforms’ security with a focus on fundamental integrity mechanisms in hardware and firmware, and provide technical leadership.
- Develop and refine threat models, perform security reviews, and define security requirements for all platforms entering Google’s data centers.
- Drive and improve security processes for effectively raising the security bar.
- Lead and perform AI-supported security review campaigns on specification-level as well as on source code or binaries.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience programming in C.
- 8 years of experience in infrastructure security.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
- 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
