The Cluster Management team is responsible for critical software that runs and manages Google’s data centers. Our mission is to unlock new levels of performance through parallelization and testing.

Responsibilities
- Implement, debug and enhance various software components for efficient workloads scheduling.
- Develop tools to measure, quantify and fine tune the production load.
- Identify and drive optimizations and improvements to the user experience.
- Design large-scale systems, making the right trade-offs for reliability and maintainability.
- Communicate with partners across Alphabet to gather requirements and drive adoption efforts.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Experience coding in languages such as C++, C, Rust.
- Experience in concurrency, multi-threading and synchronization.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
- Understanding of the Linux ecosystem.
