Responsibilities
Be responsible for Filestore data-plane layers. Starting from the entry point, networking/protocol termination, through a proprietary in-house distributed performant highly available file-system that is the core of Filestore cloud service.
- Develop many new customer-facing features critical for meeting product business roadmap, as well as enhancing existing infrastructures for better reliability and new requirements.
- Drive the development of new features, infrastructure, and performance improvements in a complex distributed and performance sensitive system.
- Work with peers from other aspects of the product development lifecycle, including all filesystem engineering teams, product management, program management, CP, SRE, UX/UI.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
- 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
- Experience as a low level core engineer.
- Knowledge in clustered/distributed and concurrent programming.
- Knowledge in low level C++/C development.
