As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
Within Google Global Infrastructure (GGNI), GNS (Global Network Solutions) is the parent organization, D2D (Demand to Delivery) is a group within GNS, and FCD (Fiber and Capacity Delivery) is a specialized team operating under D2D.
GNS (Global Network Solutions): Focuses on long-term network planning, strategy, and global asset acquisition (e.g., terrestrial fiber, subsea cables, space, and power) to determine the "what" and "where" of the network. D2D (Demand to Delivery): Bridges the gap between demand and deployment by translating product area orders into verified, feasible, and cost-effective infrastructure plans and capacity designs. FCD (Fiber and Capacity Delivery): Manages the physical end-to-end delivery, testing, and documentation of Layer-1 fiber and leased capacity to declare infrastructure Network Asset Ready (NAR).

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.US: $138000 - $197000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of physical fiber paths, including Leased Waves and Dark Fiber, which form the global layer-1 mesh for Google's production network.
- Handle the delivery, testing, cross-connection, and disconnection of various network assets like bulk fiber, infrastructure, internet protocol out-of-band, and colocation space/power.
- Create, track, and update project data across internal systems and databases.
- Oversee and perform fiber characterization and acceptance testings to ensure fiber paths meet rigorous Google Acceptance Standards.
- Serve as the primary POC for telecommunication vendors regarding delivery timelines, tracking order progress, negotiating commitments, and escalating delivery blockers.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in program management.
- Experience in data center operations.
- Experience in OSP network architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
- 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
