  • Lead Generation & Client Entertaining: Forge new industry relationships and generate leads by entertaining clients outside of the office to build deeper, meaningful partnerships.

  • Inspirational Presentation: Schedule and deliver engaging product presentations to optimize brand presence, elevate awareness, and ensure all appropriate brands and categories are represented in customer projects.

  • Consultative Project Selling: Master project selling by identifying client needs and offering comprehensive, multi-brand solutions across all product categories-including furniture, carpet, wallcoverings, lighting, fabric, and trim.

  • Design Collaboration: Assist clients with curating cohesive design schemes across all product categories, providing consistent follow-through from initial concept to final execution.

  • Strategic Planning & Showroom Partnership: Develop targeted monthly sales plans and collaborate seamlessly with our showroom teams to maximize opportunities across key contract accounts.

  • Digital Excellence & Administration: Utilize CRM technology to maintain accurate customer contact records and track increased sales activity, while managing administrative duties such as order follow-ups, scheduling, and outreach initiatives.

  • Merchandising Support: Diligently maintain and refresh customers’ physical book libraries and memo sample bins to ensure designers always have the latest inspirational tools at their fingertips.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Industry Expertise: Previous outside sales experience within the interior design industry is required.

  • Contract Focus: Direct experience working within the contract and hospitality sales space.

  • Entrepreneurial Mentality: A self-starter attitude with an entrepreneurial spirit, strong follow-through, and a proven ability to build and grow a business.

  • Product Knowledge: Working knowledge of interior furnishings, with specific emphasis on furniture and floor coverings, is a plus.

  • Tech-Fluent: Experience using CRM technology and digital platforms to manage customer relationships and track pipeline activity is a plus.

  • Organizational Mastery: Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage a busy schedule in a fast-paced environment.
