Great Eastern is a prominent multinational life insurance and financial services provider that offers comprehensive protection and wealth management solutions across Asia. Headquartered in Singapore, it operates as a key subsidiary of OCBC Bank and holds the distinction of being the oldest and most established life insurance group in the region. The organization serves millions of policyholders by delivering a wide array of products, including health coverage, investment-linked plans, retirement planning, and corporate employee benefits.

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to join the Financial Analytics team within Group Finance. The team plays a central role in supporting senior management decision-making by providing actionable financial insights and a forward-looking view of business performance across the Great Eastern Group.

This is a highly visible role that works closely with business finance, actuarial, distribution and senior management teams across the region. The successful candidate will bring together financial analysis, business insight and effective communication to influence decision-making, challenge assumptions and support the Group's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

·Analyse the financial performance and profitability of Great Eastern Group and its subsidiaries, identifying key business drivers, emerging trends, risks and opportunities to support management decision-making.

·Support the Group's financial planning, forecasting and performance management activities, providing forward-looking analysis to improve the predictability of financial outcomes.

·Consolidate and interpret financial, operational and market information from multiple business units and jurisdictions, transforming complex information into concise and actionable insights.

·Prepare executive-ready presentations, management briefings and business updates, distilling financial and operational developments into clear and compelling narratives.

·Partner closely with business finance, actuarial and functional stakeholders to assess business performance, challenge assumptions and identify opportunities to improve outcomes.

·Conduct market, industry and competitor research to identify emerging trends, developments and external perspectives relevant to management discussions and strategic decision-making.

·Support management engagements with investors, analysts, media and other external stakeholders through research, financial analysis and preparation of briefing materials where required.

·Maintain awareness of disclosure, governance and confidentiality requirements, ensuring the appropriate handling of sensitive and price-sensitive information.

·Drive and support Group Finance initiatives, transformation programmes and process improvement efforts, leveraging technology and data analytics to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

·Proactively identify potential risks and issues, recommend mitigating actions and share best practices to support sound business and financial management.

·Hold a degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business, Economics or another relevant discipline.

·Possess at least 5 years of experience in financial planning & analysis, business finance, management reporting, performance management, audit, transaction advisory or related finance functions, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.

·Demonstrate strong commercial acumen and the ability to connect financial results with underlying business and operational drivers.

·Have a strong interest in understanding industry developments, market trends, competitor actions and their implications for business performance.

·Enjoy working with data and analysing complex issues to uncover insights, risks and opportunities.

·Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous issues into practical and actionable recommendations.

·Communicate clearly and effectively, with strong written and presentation skills and the ability to tailor messages for different audiences.

·Are highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and accuracy under tight timelines.

·Demonstrate sound judgement, professionalism and maturity when engaging stakeholders across functions and seniority levels.

·Pay close attention to detail and are comfortable working with confidential, commercially sensitive and market-sensitive information.

·Are naturally curious, proactive and eager to learn, with the resilience to operate effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

·Build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across functions, geographies and levels of seniority.
