Groundup.ai is an industrial AI company whose cognitive maintenance solutions combine AI, industrial IoT and engineering expertise to predict equipment failures. In 2026 it won a 4 million Singapore dollar contract from PUB to bring AI maintenance to Singapore water infrastructure. The company is headquartered in Singapore.

About Groundup.ai

Groundup.ai is an industrial AI technology company transforming how asset-intensive industries manage equipment reliability, maintenance, and operational performance.

Our Cognitive Maintenance solutions combine artificial intelligence, industrial IoT, and engineering intelligence to help enterprises predict equipment failures, reduce unplanned downtime, optimize maintenance costs, and improve asset reliability.

We work with industrial customers across sectors such as manufacturing, energy, utilities, maritime, and other critical infrastructure industries.

As we expand our commercial footprint across Singapore and international markets, we are looking for a commercially driven Account Executive who knows how to turn complex industrial challenges into compelling business opportunities.

The Opportunity

We are not looking for someone who simply sells products from a catalogue.

As a key member of the team, you’ll be at the front lines—owning relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and crafting strategic sales engagements. You’ll help position Groundup.ai as a trusted partner while working closely with our engineering and product teams to drive impactful, data-driven outcomes for our clients.

You will own the end-to-end sales cycle, from identifying and developing opportunities to solution positioning, commercial negotiations, and closing enterprise accounts.

We value go-getters who are not just great with people but also hungry to learn, close deals, and build long-term value. We’ve won multiple prestigious awards and built solutions with real-world impact—now we’re looking for someone excited to bring those solutions to more markets.

This role offers the opportunity to sell differentiated industrial AI technology into industries where equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and financial returns matter.

Key Responsibilities

1. New Business Development & Sales Ownership

  • Proactively identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities within asset-intensive industrial organizations.
  • Independently build and manage a qualified sales pipeline, rather than relying exclusively on inbound leads or existing customer relationships.
  • Own the complete sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery, solution development, proposals, commercial negotiations, and contract closure.
  • Develop strategic relationships with enterprise accounts and identify opportunities for long-term account expansion.

2. Consultative & Value-Based Solution Selling

  • Understand customers' operational challenges, including equipment failures, unplanned downtime, maintenance inefficiencies, and asset reliability.
  • Translate technical capabilities into measurable business value, including cost savings, downtime reduction, operational efficiency, and return on investment (ROI).
  • Build compelling commercial business cases that justify customer investment.
  • Sell integrated technology solutions rather than competing primarily on product specifications or pricing.

3. Enterprise Stakeholder Management

  • Engage effectively with Plant Managers, Maintenance and Reliability Managers, Engineering Heads, Operations Directors, and C-level executives.
  • Navigate complex enterprise buying processes involving technical evaluation, commercial justification, procurement, and management approval.
  • Coordinate with internal engineering, product, and technical teams to develop credible solutions and proposals.
  • Build trust through a strong understanding of customer operations and business priorities.

4. Commercial Execution & Accountability

  • Deliver against agreed sales targets, pipeline development objectives, and revenue commitments.
  • Maintain disciplined opportunity qualification, forecasting, and CRM management.
  • Develop and execute account strategies to accelerate sales cycles and improve conversion.
  • Take personal ownership of progressing deals, overcoming commercial obstacles, and closing business.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans for key accounts to foster long-term relationships and identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams—including product and engineering—to relay client feedback and advocate for improvements.

What We Are Looking For

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  1. Approximately 4 – 8years of Enterprise sales experience, preferably involving complex industrial technology, engineering solutions, or enterprise technical solutions.
  2. Demonstrated success in independently generating opportunities, managing complex sales cycles, and closing new business.
  3. Experience selling solutions where customers evaluate technical feasibility, operational impact, and financial ROI.
  4. Ability to conduct effective discovery conversations with engineering and operational stakeholders and translate their challenges into commercial opportunities.
  5. Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  6. Comfortable working in a fast-moving technology company where initiative, resourcefulness, and accountability are essential.
  7. Comfortable engaging with mid-to-senior-level decision-makers across engineering, operations, and C-suite levels.
  8. CRM proficiency (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and strong presentation skills.
  9. Highly Relevant Industry Backgrounds: We are particularly interested in candidates with experience selling,
  • Industrial automation and operational technology (OT) solutions
  • Industrial IoT (IIoT) and connected industrial systems
  • Predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, or asset performance solutions
  • Industrial AI, analytics, or digital transformation solutions
  • Integrated engineering systems and industrial software
  • Energy optimization, process optimization, or operational efficiency solutions
  • Enterprise technology solutions serving industrial operations

Experience in these fields is advantageous, but your ability to sell complex solutions and demonstrate business value matters more than your specific industry background.

What Makes Someone Successful Here

You will thrive at Groundup.ai if you:

  1. Are a hunter: You can create opportunities from scratch and are not dependent on a large corporate brand or established customer base.
  2. Sell outcomes, not features: You understand that customers invest in business results, not merely technology specifications.
  3. Are commercially resourceful: You can uncover opportunities, navigate objections, and find ways to advance challenging deals.
  4. Have technical curiosity: You are comfortable engaging engineers and understanding industrial applications without needing to be the technical expert yourself.
  5. Take ownership: You approach sales targets with accountability, discipline, and a determination to deliver.
  6. Think strategically: You can develop accounts into long-term commercial relationships rather than pursuing only transactional orders.
  7. We care more about the deals you personally created, the problems you solved, and the revenue you delivered than the size or reputation of your previous employer.

Why Join Groundup.ai?

  1. Represent innovative industrial AI technology addressing real operational challenges.
  2. Work directly with enterprise customers on commercially meaningful industrial applications.
  3. Be part of a growing technology business expanding into international markets.
  4. Collaborate with engineering and AI specialists to develop impactful customer solutions.
  5. Enjoy meaningful commercial ownership and the opportunity to shape business growth.

🚀 Finally, embark on a 24-Month Accelerated Career Journey

Build in 2 years what could take significantly longer in a traditional corporate sales career.

At Groundup.ai, we believe extraordinary performers deserve extraordinary career opportunities.

We are not hiring Account Executives simply to fill sales quotas. We are looking for ambitious commercial professionals with the potential to become our next generation of enterprise sales leaders, strategic account owners, and regional commercial leaders.

Our accelerated 24-month career pathway is designed to allow exceptional performers to progress through four stages:

Months 1–6 | Become an Industrial AI Sales Specialist

Develop deep expertise in industrial AI, predictive maintenance, and enterprise solution selling. Work closely with our engineering and leadership teams, engage directly with industrial decision-makers, and begin building your own commercial pipeline.

Months 7–12 | Become a Proven Enterprise Deal-Maker

Take full ownership of complex enterprise opportunities, win new customers, build compelling ROI-driven business cases, and establish yourself as a trusted commercial partner to industrial enterprises.

Months 13–18 | Become a Strategic Account & Market Builder

Move beyond individual deals to develop major accounts, expand customer relationships, and build repeatable sales strategies. Gain exposure to larger commercial opportunities and increasingly strategic business decisions.

Months 19–24 | Accelerate Towards Commercial Leadership

Exceptional performers may be considered for accelerated progression into Senior Account Executive, Strategic Accounts Lead, or commercial leadership opportunities, with the potential to own larger territories, strategic customers, or developing sales teams.

Why This Opportunity Is Different

In a large corporation, you might inherit established accounts, sell within a rigid structure, and wait years for the opportunity to influence commercial strategy.

At Groundup.ai, you have the opportunity to build something of your own.

You will gain direct exposure to senior leadership, influence how we enter and develop markets, and play a meaningful role in scaling an emerging industrial AI business internationally.

Your career progression will be determined by your commercial impact, leadership potential, and ability to create value — not simply your years of service.

If your ambition goes beyond being a successful salesperson — and you want to become the commercial leader who builds markets, wins strategic customers, and shapes an international technology business — this is the opportunity to prove it.
