Principal Forward Deployment Engineer

Role Overview :

As a Principal Forward Deployment Engineer (FDE), you will serve as the technical bridge between our core product engineering teams and our most critical enterprise clients.

You will be responsible for the end-to-end architecture, deployment, and operational stability of complex systems in high-stakes environments.

This role demands a hands-on leader who can navigate ambiguity, troubleshoot deep-seated infrastructure bottlenecks, and architect scalable solutions that directly influence business outcomes.

You will collaborate closely with product managers, site reliability teams, and client stakeholders to ensure our technology not only meets performance benchmarks but drives tangible value for our users.

By operating at the intersection of software development and systems engineering, you will define the standards for how we deploy and maintain mission-critical software at scale.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and oversee the deployment of robust, high-availability systems to ensure seamless integration within client-specific infrastructure environments.

- Lead cross-functional initiatives to bridge the gap between development and operations, reducing technical debt and accelerating the delivery of new features.

- Diagnose and resolve complex system-level performance issues by conducting deep-dive analysis into distributed architectures to maintain optimal uptime for global clients.

- Mentor senior engineering teams on best practices in infrastructure as code and automated deployment strategies to foster a culture of operational excellence.

- Partner with executive stakeholders to translate complex technical requirements into actionable roadmaps that align with long-term business objectives.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in designing and managing large-scale distributed systems, with a deep understanding of Forward Deployment Engineering and DevOps methodologies.

- Proven ability to lead complex architectural reviews and influence technical decision-making across global, multi-disciplinary teams.

- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate high-level technical strategies to non-technical stakeholders and clients.

- Strong proficiency in infrastructure automation, container orchestration, and cloud-native technologies, backed by relevant industry experience.

- A proactive mindset with the ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment, balancing independent problem-solving with collaborative team efforts in Pune or Hyderabad.

- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field from a premier institute.
