About the Role :
We're looking for a mid-to-senior DevOps Engineer to own and evolve our CI/CD pipelines and Azure cloud infrastructure. This is a hands-on role for someone equally comfortable working in Azure DevOps and GitLab CI/CD, scripting in Bash and PowerShell, and managing a broad Azure footprint through Infrastructure-as-Code. You'll be a key partner to development teams, ensuring reliable, secure, and repeatable builds, releases, and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps (YAML-based) and GitLab CI/CD
- Write and maintain Bash and PowerShell scripts to support pipeline automation and tooling
- Build, maintain, and optimize containerized build and release steps
- Manage and scale self-hosted ADO build agents on VMSS
- Design, deploy, and operate core Azure infrastructure, including :
1. AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service)
2. MySQL Flexible Servers
3. Key Vault
4. Service Bus
5. Private Endpoint Connections
6. Microsoft Entra ID (identity, RBAC, service principals)
7. Azure Bastion and VM jumpboxes (Azure Linux)
8. Azure Container Registry (ACR)
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Azure Bicep
- Troubleshoot pipeline failures, build agent issues, and infrastructure incidents
- Implement security best practices - secrets management, network isolation via private endpoints, and identity/access governance
- Partner with development teams on release strategy, environment provisioning, and deployment automation
- Monitor infrastructure health and pipeline performance; drive continuous improvement
- Maintain clear documentation of architecture, runbooks, and standard operating procedures
Required Skills & Experience :
- Solid professional experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability, or Infrastructure Engineering role
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) - YAML pipelines, release pipelines, pipeline templates
- Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD
- Strong scripting ability in both Bash and PowerShell
- Experience building and using containers within CI/CD pipelines
- Working experience with :
1. AKS
2. Azure MySQL Flexible Servers (or comparable managed database services)
3. Azure Key Vault
4. Azure Service Bus (or comparable messaging services)
5. Private Endpoint Connections and private networking in Azure
6. Microsoft Entra ID
7. VM Scale Sets (VMSS), ideally for self-hosted build agents
8. Azure Bastion and jumpbox architectures
9. Azure Container Registry (ACR)
- Strong Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Azure Bicep
- Solid understanding of cloud networking, security, and identity fundamentals
Nice to Have :
- Experience with Terraform or other IaC tooling
- Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.)
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, CKA)
- Experience with policy-as-code or compliance tooling
- Experience working with Azure Linux-based VM images
Soft Skills :
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Comfortable owning problems end-to-end and working independently
- Collaborative mindset when working across development and platform teams
