C++ AI Developer

• Collaborate with design, animation, sound, narrative, and other teams to create, integrate, and improve gameplay AI systems.
• Design and implement AI behaviors, navigation, decision-making, and supporting gameplay systems.
• Profile, debug, and optimize AI systems with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of AI tools and workflows for designers.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of modern C++ (C++17 or later), including debugging, profiling, and performance optimization.
• Strong knowledge of mathematics used in game development, including vectors, trigonometry, geometry, and linear algebra.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in game AI development, or at least one shipped title credited as an AI Programmer.
• Please specify your role and describe the AI-related systems and tasks you worked on in previous projects.
• Practical knowledge of AI navigation, pathfinding, and decision-making techniques such as Behavior Trees, FSM, GOAP, and HTN.
• Understanding of common game AI architecture, performance constraints, and debugging techniques.

Will be a plus:

• Professional experience with Unreal Engine.
• Experience with Unreal Engine AI systems, including Behavior Trees, StateTree, EQS, AI Perception and Mass Framework.
• Experience with UE navigation systems, including Nav Modifiers, Nav Links, Nav Data Chunks, Nav Filters, asynchronous pathfinding, and path invalidation.
• Experience with Smart Objects, GAS, crowd systems, avoidance, or large-scale agent simulation.
• Experience profiling and optimizing AI systems for large numbers of agents.
• Understanding of multithreading and asynchronous systems.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Passion for video games.
