What You Will Do:

• Core obligations are the execution of assigned CMP tests end to end, from scoping, testing through to finding closure, in line with the CMP methodology.

• Comfortable using AI tooling in everyday work, while retaining ownership of judgement and outcomes to the assigned task or deliverable. Prepare and maintain the CMP Test Record, covering test topic, scope, in-scope entities, relevant regulations, and success criteria.

• Build the test's Regulations and Requirements Register so that each finding is anchored to a specific instrument and section.

• Document the sample design, including population, testing window, method, size, and pass or fail attributes, before requesting data.

• Draft the Scoping Document and Commencement Memo, and raise data requests to Regulatory Analytics and Reporting at commencement.

• Gather and validate evidence from first line teams, tracking outstanding items against the agreed service levels.

• Test control design and implementation effectiveness across AML controls and wider regulatory obligations, applying both quantitative and qualitative methods.

• Draft findings and observations, assign category and theme, and apply the Findings Severity Matrix with documented rationale.

• Maintain the CMP Findings Tracker and the associated Jira issues, and draft the CMP Outcomes Memo for review.

• Present preliminary findings to first line teams for factual accuracy review and work through contested points constructively.

• Track Management Action Plans through to completion, reviewing closure evidence for sufficiency before findings are closed.

What You Will Need:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the financial industry, preferably in compliance monitoring, compliance testing, audit, QA, or CFT/AML. Crypto or regulatory experience is a plus.

• Working knowledge of AML systems and controls, with familiarity with wider regulatory obligations such as conduct of business, consumer protection, and data protection.

• Working knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements and the ability to interpret regulatory text and apply it to firm policies, procedures, and controls.

• Working experience or knowledge of incorporating AI tooling for the purpose of driving efficiency and effectiveness in the role.

• Familiarity with risk-based sampling, design and operating effectiveness testing, and audit procedures in a regulated environment.

• Ability to translate regulatory text into testable requirements and tie conclusions back to a specific obligation.

• Sound judgement on materiality and severity, and the ability to hold an independent position constructively with senior stakeholders.

• Strong analytical mindset; capable of reviewing structured and unstructured data from varied case and transaction systems.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information.

• High attention to detail with strong report writing and documentation skills, and comfort.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

• Experience conducting compliance testing, quality assurance (QA), internal audit, or regulatory examinations.

• Exposure to cryptocurrency, fintech, payments, or digital asset compliance environments.

• Experience working directly with regulators, regulatory inspections, or remediation programmes.

• Prior involvement in developing or enhancing compliance monitoring frameworks and methodologies.

• Experience managing Jira workflows, findings trackers, or remediation programmes.
