About the Role

As a Staff CloudOps Infrastructure Engineer, you will lead the strategic migration of the company's cloud infrastructure from Azure and AWS to GCP, shaping the design and implementation of its future GCP environment. Your deep expertise in CloudOps and Cloud Networking, including Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD automation, multi-cloud resource optimisation and cloud-native security, will be instrumental in guiding critical technical decisions and driving the migration efficiently. You will influence engineering teams through mentorship, champion CloudOps best practices, and drive innovation to maximise the value and performance of the company's cloud platform.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design and deliver scalable, secure and reliable cloud and platform architectures, with a strong focus on networking.
• Establish and maintain cloud security and compliance standards aligned with industry best practices.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across engineering teams.
• Lead architecture reviews to ensure solutions are scalable, secure and aligned with technical and business objectives.
• Champion operational excellence by driving best practices in cloud and platform management.
• Support the reliability of production systems, including participation in an on-call rotation.
• Manage third-party platforms throughout their lifecycle, ensuring performance, security and cost efficiency.
• Define and evolve the strategy for the company's Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) platform, with a focus on networking.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the Developer Experience (DevEx) and platform integration.
• Drive innovation through automation, monitoring and deployment practices that improve reliability, scalability and operational efficiency.
• Actively contribute to the engineering Community of Practice through mentoring, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We Are Looking for

• Extensive experience in cloud and platform infrastructure engineering, with expertise in cloud networking and designing scalable, resilient and highly available architectures.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, compliance frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001, SOC 2) and cloud cost optimisation.
• Proficiency in Linux, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, GitOps and CI/CD practices.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes networking, RBAC, disaster recovery and production performance optimisation.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and influence technical decisions.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with a pragmatic and collaborative approach.
• Passion for continuous learning, knowledge sharing and driving engineering excellence.
