Position Overview:
The Supply & Inventory Planning Intern will support the supply chain team by improving data visibility, reporting accuracy, and decision-making through data analytics, Power BI, and emerging AI tools. This role will partner with supply and inventory planning team members to analyze planning data, identify trends, streamline recurring reporting, and develop actionable insights that support service, inventory, and operational performance. The intern will gain exposure to supply chain planning processes while contributing to tools and analysis that help the team make faster, more informed decisions.
Primary Responsibilities:
Analyze supply and inventory planning data to identify trends, risks, gaps, and opportunities that support improved planning decisions.
Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports to improve visibility to inventory levels, supply performance, planning health, and key operational metrics.
Clean, organize, and validate data from multiple sources to support accurate reporting, analysis, and business recommendations.
Identify opportunities to automate recurring manual reporting or analysis through Power BI, Excel, or AI-enabled tools.
Apply AI concepts to explore practical use cases such as data summarization, exception reporting, process documentation, and planning insights.
Prepare clear summaries, visualizations, and recommendations for supply and inventory planning stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Rising junior or senior with an interest in supply chain planning, inventory management, analytics, and business process improvement.
Experience with Microsoft Excel required; exposure to Power BI, data visualization, SQL, Python, or similar analytics tools preferred.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work with large data sets, identify patterns, and translate findings into actionable insights.
Effective communication, curiosity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn new digital tools, including AI-enabled solutions.
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.
The salary for this role is $22-$25 per hour.In addition to your salary, H.B.
