Engineering Manager

Responsibilities:

• Drive the technical vision for our platform at HackerRank.
• Architect systems that can scale to hundreds of thousands of concurrent users.
• Execute product plans and manage delivery commitments for user-facing features.
• Mentor engineers and help them deliver high-quality, maintainable solutions.
• Set clear career paths for team members and support their professional growth.
• Work closely with the Product, Engineering, and Design teams to develop and curate the community product roadmap.

Requirements:

• An engineering leader with 8+ years of experience in designing enterprise systems and building highly available, scalable, fault-tolerant, secure, distributed systems.
• 2+ years of engineering management, including hands-on technical management.
• Demonstrated experience recruiting and managing technical teams, including performance management.
• Self-driven and initiative-taking, with good communication skills; able to hire, lead, and mentor technical teams; meet deadlines; and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Demonstrated experience of going in front of customers to explain the product and answering any technical queries.
• Hands-on technical depth in one or more modern programming languages; we are open to any language with a strong emphasis on engineering fundamentals and scalable system design.
