Role Overview

We're looking for a Lead Product Owner, Finance Systems to own the systems and workflows that power Harvey's finance organization as we scale globally. This role sits at the center of our finance technology portfolio: NetSuite as the ERP core, Zip for procurement intake and approvals, Ramp and Brex for spend and card programs, and Metronome for usage-based billing. You'll help shape the roadmap across that portfolio, prioritize competing demands, and drive changes from discovery through deployment, all in an agile and high-growth environment.

You'll partner closely with Accounting, FP&A, Revenue Operations, Procurement, and Tax, as well as teams across Business Technology (where the Finance Systems team lives) and Security, to translate business needs into scalable, well-governed solutions. This role is as much advisory as it is technical and hands-on: you'll bring thought leadership to the finance org, sit with stakeholders to understand complex and often ambiguous business problems, solution design the tools and automations, and then execute hands-on in the toolstack.

What You'll Do

• Act as the product owner for one or more of Harvey's core finance business process areas (order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and/or record-to-report), along with the systems that serve them. Run discovery with process owners, define target-state process and system design, own the roadmap, and measure success based on value add output and accuracy.

• Lead the hardest problems in your domain, where there's no established pattern to configure against. That could be international expansion and the entity, currency, tax, and statutory complexity that comes with it, or new product offerings where pricing, billing model, and revenue recognition treatment have to be designed together.

• Develop and maintain a holistic architecture strategy for the finance applications ecosystem: where each system's boundaries sit, how data moves between them, and what Harvey will need short, mid and long term. Work with the owners of adjacent enterprise systems, including Workday and Salesforce, on the integrations and handoffs finance depends on.

• Find manual work and eliminate it, replacing spreadsheets, manual data entry, and email-based approvals with core configuration, automated workflows and integrations. Evaluate new functionality within existing and/or new tooling for best fit at Harvey.

• Configure, maintain, and optimize NetSuite and, dependent on business process ownership determined, own the spend and revenue system workflows that feed the ledger: Zip intake and approvals, Ramp and Brex card programs and expenses, Metronome usage ingestion and downstream invoicing logic, and future tooling for advanced revenue recognition. Understand, advise and execute on data flows, as well as the upstream product and company-wide data sources that revenue reporting depends on.

• Identify, test, and implement practical AI and automation opportunities across the processes you own in a controlled manner, with clear resulting impact of time savings and manual output eliminated.

• Own quality across your applications, ensuring lightweight SDLC to balance accuracy and agility. Partner with leadership to set best practices and serve as the mentor and escalation point for peers across Finance and Business Technology on the portfolio's hardest design questions.

What You Have

• 7+ years of hands-on experience as a finance systems professional, including 5+ years of direct NetSuite experience with demonstrated complex configuration depth and supporting a global, multi-entity and multi-currency finance organization.

• Product owner or product manager experience in at least one core finance business process area (order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and/or record-to-report), with extensive depth in that domain: discovery with process owners, target-state process design, proposing tradeoffs or workarounds, and owning a roadmap through delivery. Familiarity with the adjacent areas matters more than equal depth in all three.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at various levels of the business and technology organizations: adapting how you make a case depending on the audience, building alignment across cross-functional teams, and saying no to a request and explaining why. A track record of mentoring peers, setting technical standards, or being the expert others escalate to on hard problems.

• Demonstrated ability to solve ambiguous, high-stakes process problems without an existing playbook, operating with a high degree of autonomy while knowing when to pull others in on high-impact decisions. Examples include international expansion and multi-entity or multi-currency complexity, or new product offerings where pricing, billing model, and revenue recognition treatment have to be designed together.

• Deep understanding of leading and emerging trends in SaaS finance applications and architecture, including where automation and AI are truly driving innovation.

• Direct experience implementing best practices around change management, regression and UAT planning, segregation of duties, and regulatory requirements, while increasing efficiencies.

Compensation

$170,000 - $225,500 USD
