Sales Engineer
The Technical Sales Engineer will be responsible for combining technical knowledge with sales skills to identify customer needs, recommend appropriate solutions, and drive business growth. The role involves working closely with customers, understanding their technical requirements, preparing suitable solutions and quotations, and supporting the sales process from initial inquiry through to successful completion.
The ideal candidate should be able to understand technical products and applications, communicate solutions clearly to customers, and develop strong long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities and potential customers.
Visit customers and understand their technical and commercial requirements.
Recommend suitable products, equipment, and technical solutions based on customer needs.
Prepare quotations, proposals, and technical presentations.
Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations.
Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
Follow up on sales leads, quotations, inquiries, and ongoing projects.
Coordinate with engineering, service, and other internal teams to ensure customer requirements are fulfilled.
Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.
Monitor market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities.
Attend customer meetings, exhibitions, and industry events when required.
Candidate Profile
Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
Previous experience in technical sales engineering will be an added advantage.
Strong technical knowledge and the ability to understand customer applications.
Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Customer-oriented and target-driven approach.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Willingness to travel for customer visits.
Valid driving license will be an added advantage.
