Position Summary
The Graph Intelligence Platform (GDBC) team is seeking a Data Manager to help define and shape the next generation of enterprise-wide Customer 360 and Graph Intelligence capabilities.
The platform is evolving beyond a single business-area solution into a cross-enterprise capability that connects data across multiple Business Areas (MT, VT, VFS, VCE, RT), brands, regions, account structures, assets, products, contracts, services, finance, and customer interactions. This evolution supports the broader One Customer One Account (OCOA) vision of delivering a unified and connected view of customers across Volvo Group.
The Data Manager will serve as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and the Graph Intelligence Platform team, helping identify, define, and prioritize high-value use cases that leverage connected enterprise data.
Key Responsibilities
Business Use Case Discovery
Engage stakeholders across multiple business areas to identify and document Customer 360, Key Account, Cross-BA, and Graph Intelligence use cases.
Facilitate workshops to uncover business problems, opportunities, and decision-making needs.
Translate business goals into structured use case definitions and requirements.
Document user personas, workflows, KPIs, success criteria, and business outcomes.
Requirements Gathering
Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and product owners.
Capture functional and non-functional requirements.
Define business processes, user journeys, and data requirements.
Create use case documentation, process flows, and business requirement artifacts.
Key Responsibilities
Customer 360 & Graph Intelligence Analysis
Analyze how customer, account, fleet, contract, finance, service, parts, and organizational data interact across Volvo Group.
Identify opportunities where connected graph data can create business value.
Help define business metrics, KPIs, intelligence signals, and reusable insight definitions.
Support development of Customer 360, Key Account, Loyalty, Share-of-Wallet, Cross-Sell, and Risk-oriented use cases.
Stakeholder Management
Build relationships with business stakeholders across:
Mack Trucks (MT)
Volvo Trucks (VT)
Volvo Financial Services (VFS)
Volvo Construction Equipment (VCE)
Renault Trucks (RT)
Facilitate alignment between business teams, architecture, engineering, and product management.
Manage feedback loops during design, development, UAT, and rollout phases.
Strategic Planning & Prioritization
Help evaluate use-case opportunities based on:
Business value
Data availability
User adoption potential
Technical feasibility
Strategic alignment
Support roadmap planning and MVP definition activities.
Assist in building business cases and value hypotheses for future investments.
Desired Experience
Required
Senior or Principal level Data Manager
Experience working with enterprise applications, analytics platforms, customer data, or CRM-related solutions
Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience gathering and documenting business requirements
Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical teams
Experience creating:
User stories
Process flows
Business requirements documents
Functional specifications
Preferred
Customer 360 experience
Key Account Management process knowledge
Knowledge of customer master data and account hierarchies
Experience working with data platforms, analytics, or reporting solutions
Familiarity with graph databases, knowledge graphs, or relationship-centric data models
Experience with data remediation strategies
Experience with Azure DevOps, Confluence, or enterprise product delivery frameworks
Adoption of and experience with AI for workplace efficiency.
