Senior OT Cybersecurity Engineer / Specialist
Role Summary
The Senior OT Cybersecurity Engineer leads site-level OT security risk assessments, designs OT security architectures, and supports implementation of security controls in manufacturing environments. This role requires strong hands-on OT experience and the ability to work independently with plant teams.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct OT security risk assessments across manufacturing sites
Lead asset discovery validation and criticality assessments
Design OT security architectures aligned with Purdue model principles
Define segmentation, zones, conduits, and secure remote access models
Lead implementation of OT security controls in live production environments
Support incident response readiness and recovery planning
Guide junior engineers and review their deliverables
Work directly with plant engineering, IT, and corporate security teams
Required Skills & Experience
5-10 years experience in industrial automation, OT engineering, or OT cybersecurity
Strong knowledge of PLC/SCADA/DCS environments
Hands-on experience with industrial networking and segmentation
Experience implementing OT security controls (firewalls, monitoring, access control)
Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies in OT environments
Ability to work independently at manufacturing sites
Education & Preferred Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
OT cybersecurity certifications - preferred
Network or security certifications - preferred
Automation platform certifications - a plus
