Job Summary
The SAP Offshore Project Manager role is responsible for planning and delivering complex SAP ECC and S/4 HANA initiatives through effective coordination of offshore and onshore teams. This includes scope, schedule, budget, resource, risk, dependency, quality and vendor management; project governance; and clear reporting across all tiers of the organization. The Project Manager is expected to have significant experience delivering large-scale SAP programs across multiple workstreams and releases. This role must partner effectively with Finance (RTR), Procurement (P2P), Order to Cash (OTC), Development (ABAP), Integration/Middleware, Basis, Security, Data, QA (Testing), business process owners and service providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Experience across multiple industries and the versatility to advise the UMG business community on project delivery, process and technology considerations
- Proven leadership of geographically distributed onshore and offshore SAP teams, including functional, technical and partner resources
- 12 plus years of SAP experience, including at least 7 years managing complex SAP ECC and S/4 HANA projects
- At least 4 full-cycle SAP implementations, with at least 2 on S/4 HANA, from planning through hypercare
- Strong track record managing scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, dependencies, quality and vendor commitments
- Industry experience across several industries, including Media, Entertainment & Manufacturing
- University degree in Business Systems or Finance; PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum and SAP Activate certification preferred
- Willing to travel to the US/Los Angeles and UK/London as and when required
Skill Requirements
Detailed project management and hands-on delivery experience in SAP ECC & S/4 HANA in the following areas.
- SAP Activate, Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery models
- Offshore delivery governance, work allocation, time-zone handoffs, productivity and quality management
- Integrated project plans, milestones, critical paths and cross-workstream dependency management
- Scope, requirements traceability, change control and delivery governance
- Budgeting, forecasting, resource planning and capacity management
- RAID management, escalation, decision tracking and executive status reporting
- Coordination across functional, technical, integration, data, security, Basis and testing teams
- System integrator and third-party vendor management, including deliverables, service levels and commitments
- Test planning, defect triage, quality gates and release readiness
- Data migration, cutover, deployment, business readiness and hypercare
- Stakeholder management, steering committee facilitation and tools including Jira, Azure DevOps, SAP Cloud ALM and Microsoft Project
