Job Summary
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Enterprise Architect to provide end-to-end architecture leadership for a large and complex enterprise transformation program spanning SAP S/4HANA, Kinaxis, Siemens PLM, Siemens MES, and SAP CRM.
The program covers a broad SAP landscape including FI, SD, MM, PP, PS, QM, EWM, TM and GTS, with extensive integration across engineering, manufacturing, planning, supply chain, logistics, commercial and financial processes.
The Enterprise Architect will own the overall solution architecture and cross-platform design integrity, ensuring that individual workstream solutions come together as one coherent enterprise architecture. The role will work closely with business leadership, program leadership, SAP functional and technical architects, Siemens architects, Kinaxis specialists, integration teams, data teams and implementation partners.
This is a hands-on architecture leadership role, requiring the ability to operate at both strategic and detailed solution levels.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Architecture Leadership
- Own and govern the end-to-end enterprise solution architecture across the transformation program.
- Define the target architecture connecting SAP S/4HANA, Kinaxis, Siemens PLM, Siemens MES and SAP CRM.
- Ensure that architecture decisions are aligned across business processes, applications, integrations, data and technology.
- Maintain a clear current-state, transition-state and target-state architecture.
- Identify architectural dependencies and potential conflicts across multiple transformation workstreams.
Integration Architecture
- Define and govern the enterprise integration architecture across SAP and non-SAP platforms.
- Establish clear system-of-record ownership and integration responsibilities for key business objects.
- Review APIs, events, interfaces, middleware and batch integration patterns.
- Ensure consistent architectural principles for synchronous, asynchronous, event-driven and bulk integrations.
- Work with integration architects on solutions involving technologies such as SAP BTP Integration Suite / Cloud Integration, APIs, OData, IDocs and event-based integration, depending on the approved program landscape.
Program & Stakeholder Leadership
- Work closely with business process owners, program leadership and technology leadership.
- Coordinate with SAP, Kinaxis and Siemens solution architects and implementation partners.
- Facilitate complex architecture workshops and drive decisions where multiple technology or business teams have competing requirements.
- Translate highly technical topics into clear recommendations for senior business and IT stakeholders.
- Highlight architectural risks, dependencies and decisions requiring leadership intervention.
- Act as the architecture escalation point for major cross-workstream issues.
Critical Competencies
The successful candidate should demonstrate:
1.End-to-End Architecture Thinking: Ability to connect business processes, applications, integrations and data across multiple platforms.
2.Strong SAP Foundation: Sufficient SAP depth to effectively challenge functional and technical solution architects.
3.Manufacturing & Supply Chain Understanding: Strong understanding of planning, engineering, manufacturing, warehousing and logistics environments.
4.Cross-Platform Architecture Capability: Ability to architect across SAP, Siemens, Kinaxis and CRM rather than focusing exclusively on one technology.
5.Architecture Governance: Strong experience establishing design principles, architecture governance and decision-making frameworks.
6.Complex Problem Solving: Ability to identify downstream consequences and resolve conflicting requirements across interconnected workstreams.
7.Executive Communication: Ability to translate complex architecture decisions into clear business impact, options, risks and recommendations.
