Job Summary
JD Information Lifecycle & Records Governance Manager (Information Lifecycle, Retention & Archiving Policy) Help Achmea take control of information throughout its entire lifecycle As data volumes grow, regulations become more demanding, and AI increasingly relies on high-quality information, effective Records Management is becoming a strategic capability for Achmea. We are looking for an experienced Records Manager who can lead the further development of Achmea's Records Management and Information Lifecycle Management capabilities. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping and governing policies, retention frameworks, archiving principles, classification standards, and information governance practices across the organization. You will help ensure that information is retained when required, archived where appropriate, and disposed of when no longer needed. By bringing together business, IT, legal, privacy, security, and data governance disciplines, you will help Achmea remain compliant, reduce risks, improve information quality, and prepare its digital landscape for future AI applications. This is a strategic and policy-oriented position with significant influence on how information is managed across Achmea. What will you do? As Records Manager, you act as the subject matter expert and governance lead for information lifecycle management across Achmea. Your responsibilities include: Policy, Governance & Compliance Develop, maintain, and improve Achmea's Records Management policies, standards, governance framework, and operating model. Define and govern retention and archiving principles across the organization. Translate legislation, regulatory requirements, and internal policies into practical Records Management controls and implementation guidelines. Guide governance decisions regarding information retention, destruction, archiving, classification, and information ownership. Ensure that Records Management policies remain aligned with broader Data Governance, Privacy, Security, and Compliance frameworks. Monitor regulatory developments and industry best practices and translate them into future-proof governance policies. Information Lifecycle Management Lead the transition from traditional archive-focused Records Management towards full lifecycle management of information. Develop frameworks for managing structured and unstructured information across its entire lifecycle. Help define policies for information stored in Microsoft 365, collaboration platforms, document repositories, and future digital workspaces. Contribute to retention and archiving initiatives involving Microsoft Purview and related governance capabilities. Advise on the reduction and management of unstructured data and information risks. Stakeholder Management & Advisory Serve as the primary advisor to management, business units, IT departments, architects, privacy officers, compliance specialists, and security teams on Records Management topics. Maintain and strengthen relationships with Records Officials across Achmea. Facilitate decision-making processes and governance forums related to information management and compliance. Build organizational awareness and support for Records Management and information lifecycle practices. Influence roadmaps, transformation programs, and change initiatives where information governance plays a critical role. Change & Implementation Translate policy decisions into achievable implementation roadmaps. Monitor progress, maturity, risks, and adoption of Records Management capabilities.
