Working at the forefront of location technology, our mobile engineering team tackles complex real-world challenges, embraces new technologies, and continuously evolves how we build consumer navigation experiences. As the leader of the mobile engineering function, you will help us:

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing full-stack engineering organization for mobile apps, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and engineering excellence
• Partner closely with Product Management and cross-functional stakeholders to define, align, and execute the product and technology vision, strategy, and roadmap for HERE WeGo across mobile and web
• Drive the evolution of large-scale consumer mobile applications across Android, iOS, and Kotlin Multiplatform, ensuring high-quality user experiences, scalable architecture, operational excellence, and long-term technology sustainability
• Provide strong technical direction and guide architectural decisions, drawing on your own mobile software engineering background while enabling engineers to take ownership of implementation
• Recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent while ensuring teams have the skills, resources, processes, and tools required to deliver business outcomes effectively
• Champion engineering best practices, innovation, and technical excellence, contributing to and influencing the broader engineering community across HERE Technologies
• Lead the organization's adoption of AI-enabled engineering and product development practices, empowering teams to leverage emerging technologies responsibly to accelerate innovation, productivity, and customer value.

Who are you?

You are an experienced engineering manager with a strong background in mobile software engineering and a passion for building great consumer products. You combine strong people leadership with the technical judgment needed to guide engineering decisions and help teams deliver high-quality mobile experiences at scale. You bring a strategic mindset and a proven ability to translate vision into execution. You are comfortable navigating complexity, driving change, and working closely with Product, Design, and other stakeholders to move from product strategy to delivery. You are also excited about how emerging technologies, including AI-powered engineering practices, can shape the future of mobile software development.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Significant software engineering experience, including hands-on experience developing mobile applications.
• Strong technical knowledge of modern mobile software development, including Android and iOS, with experience or understanding of Kotlin Multiplatform
• Experience delivering high-quality consumer-facing mobile and web products at scale
• A strong technical foundation that enables you to guide architecture and engineering decisions while balancing innovation, product needs, maintainability, and operational reliability
• Experience building mobile applications that integrate with vehicles, connected devices, or automotive ecosystems is particularly relevant. (nice-to-have)
• Passion for emerging technologies and a strong understanding of how AI can transform both software development and customer experiences.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
