Field Deployment Engineering (FDE) Team Lead

This role combines people management, technical leadership, and hands-on involvement in complex customer solutions. You will set priorities, support the team’s performance, professional growth, and career development, maintain high delivery standards, and contribute directly to strategic technical projects.

The role sits at the intersection of customer needs, solution architecture, integrations, and AI-assisted development. You will partner closely with customers, Customer Solutions Architects, Professional Services, Product, and Engineering to ensure solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned with Bob’s platform strategy.

The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader with a genuine interest in people management. You may already have formal management experience or have demonstrated leadership through mentoring, technical guidance, project ownership, or supporting the development of others.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team, supporting their performance, professional growth, and career development.
• Set team priorities, allocate work effectively, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality customer solutions.
• Build a collaborative team environment that encourages ownership, knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and innovation.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on complex integrations and solutions involving APIs, webhooks, MCP, custom objects, and extensibility capabilities.
• Remain hands-on in strategic and complex customer projects, including solution design, integrations, automations, prototypes, and lightweight applications.
• Review solution designs to ensure scalability, maintainability, and alignment with Bob’s platform and technical standards.
• Promote the effective use of AI-assisted development and vibe coding practices across the team.
• Act as an escalation point for technical, delivery, and customer challenges.
• Partner with Customer Solutions Architects, Professional Services, Product, and Engineering to improve customer outcomes and cross-functional collaboration.
• Establish best practices for solution design, implementation, documentation, and handover.
• Identify recurring customer needs and translate them into reusable solutions, process improvements, or product feedback.

Requisitos

• 5-7 years of experience in system integrations, technical implementation, SaaS deployment, solution consulting, or integration architecture.
• 1-2 years of experience in people management or team leadership.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities through mentoring, technical guidance, project leadership, onboarding, or supporting the professional development of others.
• A genuine interest in people management, with the ability to motivate, coach, provide feedback, and build strong working relationships.
• Deep hands-on experience integrating SaaS platforms using APIs, webhooks, middleware, automation tools, and related technologies.
• Strong business and technical orientation, with the ability to translate complex customer needs into practical and scalable solutions.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with AI-assisted development and vibe coding, using AI tools to build integrations, automations, prototypes, or custom solutions.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong customer-facing and consulting skills, with experience working directly with enterprise customers.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide clear technical direction and constructive feedback.

• Experience conducting performance conversations, providing structured feedback, or supporting career development.
• Experience leading technical projects or coordinating the work of an integrations, implementation, or solutions team.
• Familiarity with HCM, HRIS, payroll, identity, or other enterprise SaaS ecosystems.
• Experience working with extensible SaaS platforms and configurable data models.
• Experience designing end-to-end enterprise workflows across multiple systems.
• Familiarity with cloud services, authentication methods, APIs, and integration security concepts.
