As a Director of Finance, you’re not just overseeing all hotel financial operations - you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

  • Maximize hotel profitability and performance.
  • Work with the general manager to identify opportunities for revenue growth, cost savings, and working capital improvements.
  • Lead financial processes, including annual budgets, monthly forecast reviews, cash flow analysis, and benchmarking tools.
  • Conduct financial analysis, monitor market trends, and assess competitive conditions to support business decisions and maximize profitability.
  • Monitor and ensure the financial stability of the hotel by identifying, assessing and managing financial risks.
  • Ensure financial oversight of capital projects and ensure compliance with budgets and schedules.
  • You will act as a strategic business partner and financial advisor to hotel management and ownership, moderate monthly performance reviews and give presentations
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end reporting to Hilton EMEA and owners within set deadlines.
  • Monitor and optimize operational costs and maximize efficiency while maintaining compliance with corporate policies and government regulations.
  • Evaluate and improve financial processes within the department to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure the accuracy of income statements, balance sheets, and other important financial documents.
  • Lead and develop the finance team by fostering a culture of continuous improvement, training, performance excellence, and professional development.
  • Ensure effective communication within the finance team, including regular meetings to discuss relevant company and hotel updates.
  • Work with hotel management to identify revenue initiatives, cost savings, and process improvements.
  • Take on other assigned tasks and responsibilities, including participating in financial projects.
  • Show a complete understanding of the rental and management contracts and ensure that the hotel complies with corporate and legal requirements.
  • Transparently communicate key financial insights and variances to owners and the regional finance director.
  • Strengthen competency among team members through training, recognition, and sharing best practices.
  • Monitor business processes to maximize departmental efficiency and ensure management goals are met.
  • Act in accordance with fire, health and safety regulations on property
  • Ensure financial oversight of capital projects to ensure compliance with critical timelines and financial forecasts.
  • Review and approve payments for invoices and other project-related expenses.
  • Oversees day-to-day financial operations, including accounting processes, balance sheet reconciliations, and payment approvals.
  • Ensure the accuracy of the income statement (profit and loss) and balance sheet in accordance with company policies.
  • Manage the preparation, monitoring, and control of annual budgets, forecasts, and month-end financial reports.
  • Review and approve journal vouchers, monthly reports, and pay-based payments to ensure deadlines and guidelines are met.
  • Ensure proper permits, licenses, and legal documents are obtained and up-to-date.
  • Lead internal and external audits to ensure compliance with Hilton guidelines, HGB, USGAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • Proactively address audit deficiencies and management measures.
  • Review and manage user access controls for financial systems to ensure appropriate levels of access for team members.
  • Conduct monthly credit meetings with the general manager, front office, and sales teams.
  • Review the older debt report, provide actionable insights, and address payment issues effectively.
  • Review and approve chargebacks with credit cards.
  • Act as a financial advisor and strategic business partner for the general manager, owners, and department heads.
  • Monitor and control financial arrangements, including lease and management contracts, to ensure accurate reporting, payments, and accruals.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to formulate effective goals, targets and priorities with a long-term perspective
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Financial and operational analytical skills (operational analysis)
  • Knowledge of department and hotel operations
  • Ability to exercise judgment in evaluating situations and making informed decisions
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data
  • Leadership and organizational skills (team orientation, flexible, adaptable)
  • Ability to analyze large amounts of complex financial information from many sources and generate reports, as well as forecasts and forecasts
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Additional preferences:

  • University degree in accounting or finance / accounting certificate
  • Experience at the hotel level or in the industry
  • Preferred: 5 years of relevant and advanced experience in accounting or finance
  • Preferred: 2 years in a management position
