As an L&D Manager, you're not just developing training programs and talent strategies, you're spreading the Light & Warmth of Hospitality by empowering team members and leaders to create exceptional guest experiences while building a high-performing, engaged, and future-ready workforce.

Here's what you'll do during a typical day:

  • Champion learning and development: Drive a culture of continuous learning by identifying development needs and delivering impactful learning solutions that support business success and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Develop future leaders: Build a strong talent pipeline through performance management, succession planning, career development, and leadership growth initiatives.
  • Inspire high performance: Partner with leaders to foster a performance-driven culture through effective goal setting, coaching, development planning, and ongoing feedback.
  • Create engaging learning experiences: Design and implement innovative learning programs that enhance operational excellence, service delivery, compliance, and leadership capability.
  • Empower teams to succeed: Facilitate learning opportunities that build confidence, strengthen skills, and enable team members to reach their full potential.
  • Drive talent growth and mobility: Support career progression, cross-training, and internal mobility initiatives that encourage retention and long-term development.
  • Measure learning impact: Monitor learning effectiveness and leverage data, feedback, and performance insights to continuously improve development outcomes.
  • Promote service excellence: Enable team members and leaders to deliver Hilton's Light & Warmth of Hospitality through capability building and service-focused learning initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance and quality: Ensure learning records, certifications, and training activities meet Hilton brand standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner for business success: Collaborate with department leaders to align learning, talent, and performance initiatives with operational priorities and organizational goals.
  • Support team member engagement: Foster an inclusive and engaging learning culture that enhances team member satisfaction, development, and retention.
  • Build a future-ready workforce: Develop the skills, capabilities, and leadership strength needed to support the hotel's current and future business needs.

The following capabilities and qualifications would be advantageous:

  • Proven experience in a Learning & Development leadership role within hospitality.

  • Previous Hilton experience preferred.

  • Hospitality coaching, training, facilitation, or adult learning certifications (e.g., Hilton programs) are highly desirable.

  • Strong knowledge of performance management, succession planning, talent development, and leadership capability building.

  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.

  • Collaborative mindset with a passion for developing people and creating high-performing teams.

  • Excellent communication, active listening, and emotional intelligence skills.

  • Strong organizational, planning, and project management capabilities.

  • Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering exceptional internal and external service.
