Are you a strategic communicator with a strong business mindset and passion for the clean energy transition? As External Communications Lead for the newly established Service Business Unit, you will drive high-impact communication initiatives that support transformation and positioning. You will play a key role in shaping the external narrative with thought leadership and strategic projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and enjoys building and implementing strategic plans in a dynamic, international setting.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Elevate the profile of Service Business Unit leaders as recognized industry experts through strategic external communications, thought leadership, contents for media engagement and press activities, working closely with the Head of Communications for Business Unit Service and the Global External Communications team.

  • Lead and deliver global external communications initiatives that support business objectives, strengthen brand reputation, and enhance stakeholder engagement across key markets.

  • Translate complex technical and strategic topics, including the energy transition, grid modernization, digitalization, sustainability, and service lifecycle offerings, into clear, engaging narratives that resonate with media, customers, industry stakeholders, and wider external audiences.

  • Build strong partnerships with Business Unit leaders, Global Product Group teams, and regional communications colleagues to create high-quality press releases, media materials, executive profiles, feature stories, and thought leadership content, ensuring strategic alignment and message consistency across global markets.

  • Proactively identify and secure external speaking opportunities, media coverage, and industry engagement initiatives that enhance the organization's visibility and position within the energy sector.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related discipline.

  • Significant experience in external communications, corporate communications, public relations, and media relations, ideally within the energy, utilities, infrastructure, engineering, or industrial sectors.

  • Strong understanding of the energy landscape, including industry trends, grid modernization, and the evolving energy transition agenda.

  • Proven experience managing communications within a complex, global matrix organization, partnering effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated success delivering high-profile communications campaigns in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

  • Exceptional written, verbal, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build credibility at all levels.

  • Strong strategic planning and communications consultancy skills, with the ability to align communications programs to business priorities and reputation objectives.

  • Experience developing and executing thought leadership, executive positioning, media relations, and reputation-building strategies at a regional or global level.
