This role is employed by Horse Technologies Division and is based in Madrid, with occasional travel possible to Horse Powertrain’s other sites.

Purpose
As a Buyer, you are responsible for executing strategic sourcing activities to ensure cost efficiency, quality, and reliable supply within your category. You collaborate with category managers and cross-functional teams to implement global strategies, manage supplier relationships, and lead negotiations, contributing to a strong and competitive supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
As a Buyer, you will:
Drive and continuously develop procurement activities within your assigned category
Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives and efficiency improvements
Conduct market analysis, benchmarking, and supplier evaluations
Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers and manage ongoing relationships
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (R&D, Manufacturing, Logistics, Strategy, etc.)
Lead and execute commercial negotiations at a global level
Support supplier development and performance improvement initiatives
Ensure alignment with global sourcing strategies and business objectives
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
Strong expertise in sourcing processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation within complex, global environments, ensuring competitive and reliable supply bases
Proven ability to analyze market trends and translate insights into effective, data-driven sourcing strategies that support business objectives
Solid experience in managing and developing strategic supplier relationships, driving performance improvements and long-term value creation
Strong business acumen with a clear focus on optimizing cost, quality, and delivery, while balancing commercial and operational priorities
Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders across different departments, supported by excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Analytical and results-oriented professional with over 5 years in procurement or commercial roles, a proactive and global business mindset, and full professional fluency in English, other language will be a plus
Proactive and solution-oriented approach, with the ability to challenge the status quo
Experience in aluminum production and casting operations will be plus
