Howler Retail - Store Manager Outpost

About the Role

The purpose of a store manager for a retail location is to ensure the overall success of the store by driving sales, managing daily operations, and leading a motivated team to provide the best customer experience that reflects the values of Howler Brothers.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years in a retail management position. 
• Local to Austin, Texas

Responsibilities

This Store Manager position would be responsible for the following responsibilities but not limited to:

Customer Service:

• Be an expert on the Howler Brothers brand & apparel.
• Create an impeccable customer experience in the shop through every interaction with customers and help train each employee to do the same.
• Work with the Customer Service team on returns, escalated issues, and inventory matters.
• Work with the events team and be a key contact with those helping with special events at the shop.

Staffing:

• Actively participate in recruitment efforts, help to identify candidates who align with our company values, and contribute to the evaluation of retail associates & assistant managers performance, as well as seeing the onboarding process through to completion.
• Work with the Retail Manager to ensure the scheduling is prepared and executed at an appropriate level.
• Monitor and ensure the integrity of the brand by training and then coaching staff as needed throughout their Howler tenure

Inventory Management

• Work with both the Retail Manager and well as the Howler planning team to communicate and identify inventory needs and challenges for the XX store. The expectation is that the person in the role will also present solutions as they will be the location expert.
• Monitor merchandising to ensure store standards, provide feedback for merchandising displays, as well as adjust merchandising as needed to keep the store looking professional.

Merchandising

Work with the retail manager to understand the product offerings for the location and assume responsibility for the quality and tidiness of the merchandise to maximize both sales and visuals that adhere with the Howler values.

Location Management

Work with the Retail Manager to oversee the day-to-day maintenance and presentation of the XX space. This role is responsible for managing ongoing repairs and maintenance needs, ensuring that all issues are addressed promptly and efficiently. The role will require someone who can maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing environment that reflects our brand standards and creates a welcoming atmosphere for both staff and guests.
