We are hiring a Business Strategy Manager, Gaming to play a pivotal role in shaping and driving enterprise-level strategic initiatives across HP Gaming Solutions. This role operates as a senior individual contributor and trusted advisor to executive leadership, leading highly complex strategic problem-solving, strategic framing, and analytical work that directly informs portfolio strategy, investment decisions, and long-range planning.

The role is expected to operate with broad autonomy, influence senior and executive stakeholders, and translate ambiguity into clear strategic direction and actionable implications across the Gaming business. This role is well-suited for a seasoned strategy leader with deep analytical rigor, strong business judgment, and a proven ability to drive impact in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of short-, mid-, and long-term Gaming business strategies, including market positioning, growth priorities, and investment trade-offs.
  • Own and drive complex strategic analyses across markets, customers, competitors, and internal performance, with clear implications for executive decision-making.
  • Design, build, and interpret advanced financial, statistical, and analytical models to support scenario planning, capital allocation, and portfolio strategy.
  • Synthesize large, complex datasets into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Independently prepare and present executive-ready materials for leadership reviews, planning forums, and cross-functional discussions.
  • Serve as a thought partner to senior leaders, proactively identifying risks, opportunities, and strategic inflection points.
  • Monitor and interpret key industry, technology, and business trends to inform Gaming strategy and long-range planning.
  • Drive alignment across cross-functional teams (Finance, Marketing, Product, Operations, Sales) on assumptions, data, and strategic direction.
  • Lead and structure workstreams for strategic initiatives, defining objectives, success metrics, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Apply structured problem-solving and consulting frameworks to ambiguous, high-impact business questions.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and quality review of work produced by junior strategy team members (without direct people-management responsibility).

Education & Experience Recommended

  • Four-year or Graduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Typically 10-15 years of relevant experience in business strategy, strategic planning, management consulting, corporate strategy, or related analytical roles.
  • Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end strategy workstreams and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Strong background in quantitative analysis, financial modeling, and executive storytelling.
  • Consulting experience or equivalent internal strategy role strongly preferred.
  • Experience in technology, consumer electronics, or gaming ecosystems is a strong plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English

  • Demonstrates curiosity and continuous learning, including the ability to ramp quickly on new domains or industries.

  • Builds strong, trusted relationships across cross-functional teams (Finance, Product, Marketing, Sales, Operations).
