Role Summary
NVA is building a dedicated implementation capability to ensure operational improvements, process and policy enhancements, and other field-facing changes are deployed consistently, adopted effectively, and sustained across Field Operations and Hospitals as the business continues to scale.
The Field Implementation Manager is the execution arm of the Implementation & Enablement function for an assigned region. Reporting to the Sr Manager Implementation, this role activates non-medical, non-technology initiatives across Field Operations and Hospitals by turning approved direction into clear, practical action and supporting teams through deployment. The Field Implementation Manager is a trusted field-facing activator, listener, and trainer-distilling what matters for each audience, delivering effective training and communication, and helping leaders understand both the business need and what it means for day-to-day operations.
Working hand in hand with the Sr Manager Implementation, Operating Framework team, Support Center functions, Field leaders, and Hospital teams, this role ensures implementation plans are translated into successful activation at the hospital level. The Field Implementation Manager builds readiness, delivers training, reinforces adoption, listens for feedback and friction, and surfaces issues and pinch points early so implementations can land consistently, practically, and with efficacy.
What You’ll Do
Implementation & Activation
·Execute implementation plans for assigned non-medical, non-technology initiatives across an assigned region, ensuring the right actions happen at the right time and in the right sequence.
·Assess hospital readiness, including leader capacity, competing priorities, dependencies, required materials, training needs, and local operating realities.
·Coordinate activation activities with Field leaders and Hospital teams, maintaining alignment to enterprise expectations while adapting delivery to the needs of the audience.
·Partner with the Sr Manager Implementation to identify risks, gaps, dependencies, and readiness concerns before they become launch-day issues.
·Own the details required to move an implementation from 'ready' to 'activated,' including schedules, audiences, training, communications, support resources, and follow-up.
Training, Facilitation & Field Enablement
·Serve as a primary trainer and facilitator for assigned implementations, helping Field leaders and Hospital teams understand what is changing, why it matters, and what they need to do.
·Distill complex information into the most important, audience-relevant messages and teach in a way that is clear, engaging, practical, and easy to apply.
·Deliver training through appropriate channels, including live sessions, virtual training, leader meetings, office hours, huddles, and other field-facing forums.
·Use facilitator guides, job aids, FAQs, talking points, playbooks, SOPs, and other resources to reinforce consistent understanding and execution.
·Tailor training and communication to the audience without losing the intent, standards, or required outcomes of the implementation.
Communication & Business Translation
·Translate the business need behind an initiative into clear, practical messages that help Field and Hospital teams understand what is changing, why it matters, what action is required, and where to go for support.
·Partner with Support Center initiative owners and Communications partners to make implementation communications timely, relevant, concise, and actionable.
·Identify unclear, incomplete, or inconsistent messages and work with the Sr Manager Implementation and appropriate partners to resolve gaps before they create field confusion.
Listening, Feedback & Issue Resolution
·Act as a trusted listening post for Field and Hospital teams, capturing what is working, what is unclear, and where implementation friction is emerging.
·Surface questions, barriers, unintended impacts, and pinch points quickly, distinguishing between local questions and broader implementation risks.
·Help close the loop on feedback by clarifying recommended next steps, escalating patterns when needed, and reinforcing updates back to Field and Hospital teams.
Operating Framework & Cross-Functional Partnership
·Work closely with the Operating Framework team to ensure approved playbooks, SOPs, workflows, and operating standards are reflected accurately in implementation and training.
·Bring practical Field and Hospital perspective into planning so potential workflow, capacity, sequencing, or adoption challenges are understood before rollout.
·Maintain clear cross-functional handoffs among initiative owners, the Sr Manager Implementation, Operating Framework, Field leaders, and Hospital teams to keep related initiatives aligned and reduce competing demands on the field.
Adoption, Stabilization & Sustainment
·Monitor implementation progress and adoption within the assigned region using established KPIs, including training completion, readiness, utilization, compliance, feedback, and other available measures.
·Participate in audits, readiness checks, adoption reviews, and other mechanisms used to assess whether an implementation has landed effectively.
·Identify locations or teams that need additional support, reinforcement, retraining, or follow-up and coordinate targeted action.
·Support implementation stabilization by resolving open questions, reinforcing expected behaviors, and ensuring teams have the resources needed to operate consistently.
·Support transition to ongoing operational ownership once the implementation has stabilized, ensuring Field and Hospital leaders understand their ongoing responsibilities.
Role Boundaries | This role will not:
·Own or lead medical/clinical implementations, clinical training, or medical decision-making.
·Own technology development, technical configuration, system administration, or technical deployment activities.
·Design enterprise policy, business processes, or operating standards on behalf of the accountable functional owner or Operating Framework team.
·Replace Field or Hospital leaders in day-to-day operational ownership, performance management, or ongoing reinforcement.
·Act as the permanent process owner after an implementation has stabilized and transitioned to operations.
·Create, modify, or localize business processes, requirements, or operating standards for an assigned area without alignment from the Sr Manager Implementation, appropriate initiative owners, or Operating Framework team.
What We’re Looking For
·4+ years of progressive experience in field operations, implementation, training, change enablement, operations, program coordination, or a related discipline; multi-site experience strongly preferred.
·Demonstrated ability to activate change across multiple locations, teams, or stakeholder groups and turn plans into consistent execution.
·Strong facilitator and trainer who can read the room, adjust delivery to the audience, and make complex information clear, relevant, and actionable.
·Exceptional listening and communication skills, with the ability to build trust with Field leaders and Hospital teams and surface concerns others may not hear.
·Ability to understand the business reason behind an initiative and translate that need into practical, audience-specific messages, actions, and training.
·Strong ability to organize and execute multiple implementation activities at once while maintaining attention to detail, timing, dependencies, and follow-through.
·Comfort working cross-functionally with Support Center teams, the Operating Framework team, Field leaders, and Hospital teams without relying solely on formal authority.
·Strong judgment and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distinguish between a question, a local issue, and a broader implementation risk.
·Comfort using data, feedback, readiness indicators, and operational insights to assess adoption and determine where additional support is needed.
·Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Monday.com or similar work management tools, and standard communication and learning platforms.
·Ability to travel periodically to support regional training, stakeholder alignment, implementation activities, and team development.
Who You Are
You are an activator. You do not wait for change to happen-you help make it happen. You can take a complex initiative, quickly understand what matters, and turn it into clear actions that Field leaders and Hospital teams can understand and execute.
You are an excellent listener and teacher. You pay attention to what people are saying, what they are not saying, and where they are getting stuck. You know that effective implementation is not simply about sending information; it is about helping people understand the why, the what, and the how-and giving them the confidence and tools to act.
You are practical, adaptable, and highly communicative. You can move between Support Center partners, Field leaders, and Hospital teams and adjust your message without losing the core business intent. You understand that a successful implementation must work in the real world, and you are energized by finding the gaps, removing friction, and helping change land well.
You take ownership, follow through, and speak up early. You are comfortable surfacing difficult feedback or a potential pinch point, bringing the right people together, and helping drive it toward resolution. You are ultimately accountable for making sure the work is not just communicated, but understood, activated, and adopted.
