Role Summary

The Business Development Expert - Horizon 3.0 Growth (Print) will play a critical role in identifying, incubating, and scaling transformational growth opportunities beyond HP’s core Print business.

This role is designed for a strategic, externally oriented leader who can operate with high autonomy, navigate ambiguity, and convert emerging trends into scalable businesses. You will work at the intersection of market insight, customer needs, technology, and partnerships to help define HP Print’s future growth engines.

Key Responsibilities

Horizon 3.0 Opportunity Discovery

• Identify long-term growth opportunities and white spaces across the Print value chain, including new use cases, customer segments, technologies, and business models.
• Monitor global and regional trends in printing, industrial print, packaging, personalization, sustainability, and adjacent markets.
• Develop structured growth theses, opportunity charters, and POVs aligned with HP’s strategic priorities.

New Business Incubation & Scaling

• Lead end-to-end incubation of new growth initiatives-from concept development to pilot execution and scale-up recommendations.
• Build robust business cases, including market sizing, value proposition, financial models, and risk assessment.
• Drive rapid experimentation through MVPs, pilots, and proof-of-concepts.

Strategic Partnerships & Ecosystem Development

• Identify and engage strategic partners including startups, technology providers, OEMs, platforms, and channel partners.
• Lead commercial discussions, pilots, and joint go-to-market initiatives.
• Build scalable ecosystem models that enhance HP’s competitive advantage.

Customer-Centric Innovation

• Engage directly with enterprise customers, SMBs, and emerging segments to uncover unmet and future needs.
• Co-create innovative print solutions with customers to accelerate adoption.

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Collaborate with R&D, Product Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, and Legal.
• Translate market opportunities into execution-ready requirements.

Governance & Metrics

• Define and track success metrics for Horizon 3 initiatives.
• Provide regular updates to senior leadership.
• Recommend go / no-go / pivot decisions based on data and insights.

Experience & Qualifications

• 8-12+ years of experience in business development, strategy, or growth roles.
• Experience in Print, Manufacturing, B2B technology, or platform businesses preferred.
• Exposure to new business incubation or startup environments.
• MBA or equivalent preferred.
