We are looking for an ambitious horticulture leader who can combine industry credibility with commercial drive to unlock Fruitometry’s next phase of growth.

We are looking for someone who understands the New Zealand horticulture industry and has the credibility to build strong relationships with growers, post-harvest businesses and other industry stakeholders. Just as importantly, you will bring the commercial drive to turn those relationships into growth - getting out in front of customers, developing new business and expanding Fruitometry’s customer base.

Reporting to the Board, you will take ownership of the company’s commercial direction and growth. You’ll shape strategy, identify new opportunities, win customers, build partnerships and ensure the business delivers against its growth and profit objectives, while leading a team of technical and operational specialists.

This is a role for someone who wants to make their mark - combining industry knowledge, commercial leadership and innovative AI to help shape the next chapter of a New Zealand business with ambitions to grow both locally and internationally.

We are looking for someone who is commercial, credible and motivated - a leader who can roll up their sleeves, get out into the market and make things happen.

You will ideally bring:

• Senior commercial or General Management experience with P&L accountability.
• Strong business development and customer growth capability.
• Kiwifruit or horticulture industry experience and credibility.
• Strategic and commercial acumen, including pricing and negotiation.
• The ability to clearly articulate a customer value proposition and translate it into compelling conversations with growers and industry customers.
• Experience leading teams and working effectively with a Board.
• The confidence and energy to get out into the market, build relationships and win new business.
• Ideally, exposure to technology, product development or innovation.

You’ll be personable, pragmatic and relatable - equally comfortable engaging with growers and customers as you are operating at Board level.
