Our Media & Entertainment group builds the services, apps, and experiences that bring video, music, sports, and live content to hundreds of millions of customers worldwide, across phones, tablets, computers, TVs, and connected devices.
We're looking for a strategic, hands-on Product Manager to represent the customer through a product's whole journey: concept, definition, development, launch, and continuous improvement. You'll turn customer insight, content and business partner needs, and market trends into a clear product vision, then work with a cross-functional team to deliver it with quality.
In our organization, you will work closely with Engineering, Product Design and Business Development.
You will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for key areas of our media and entertainment experiences, such as content discovery and personalization, development of the next big features, expansion and managing of our existing products, and partner-facing integrations. You will also be one of the main voices that explains these experiences inside the company.
We're looking for someone who knows their product several layers deep, can move between strategy and detail with ease, and leads through influence, data, and storytelling.
Locations: Los Angeles, Cupertino & Culver City, California.
Employment Type: Full-time, Hybrid (2-3 days in office weekly)
Key Responsibilities:
Define and lead the product vision, strategy, and multi-quarter roadmap for your area and key product themes, aligned with business objectives, customer needs, and engineering capabilities, and keep roadmaps aligned across cross-functional teams
Define goals and success criteria with clearly measurable objectives and key results
Be a key facilitator throughout discovery, developing a deep understanding of customer behavior, user feedback, competitive trends, content partner needs, and emerging regulatory requirements, and using it to form a well-reasoned product perspective
Lead cross-functional groups and partner with Engineering and Design from early R&D through launch to conceptualize new features and experiences that span hardware, software, and services
Translate business and customer needs into clear product requirements, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria for engineering and UI/UX teams
Lead product trade-off decisions on features, schedule, usability, differentiation, cost, and quality, and negotiate scope across teams to deliver on time
Drive execution from concept to release with high velocity: coordinate schedules, dependencies, and resources across teams, resolve issues, and maintain a high quality bar to ship products that deliver impact to our clients
Implement best-in-class product development practices
Manage relationships with internal and external partners such as content providers, 3rd party apps, and technology partners, ensuring integrations meet both partner and customer expectations
Act as the subject matter expert for your product area, identifying interdependencies across the broader services ecosystem and spotting opportunities to innovate
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in product management and/or product marketing, including at least one full product development cycle from concept to launch.
Proven track record of partnering with engineering during early research and development to define product strategy and roadmaps.
Strong ability to write detailed product requirements and user stories for software engineering and UI/UX design teams.
Experience planning and leading complex, cross-functional technology initiatives, guiding teams through ambiguity, and resolving issues across the full development lifecycle.
Solid working knowledge of Agile development methodologies and backlog management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, or similar).
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to business partners, executives, and external audiences.
Strong analytical skills and comfort using data to inform decisions and measure product impact.
Nice to have:
Experience building or improving a full consumer funnel, including acquisition, onboarding, engagement, retention, measurement, and subscription monetization.
Experience managing internal partnerships with integration teams and application leads, engineering management or platform partners.
Hands-on experience creating product messaging and outbound marketing for both technical and consumer audiences.
Experience delivering global, large-scale consumer-facing products across mobile, web, TV, and connected devices, including localization and international launches.
Background in engineering, design, or technical product management.
Ability to lead through influence, build consensus, make high-stakes decisions with composure, and cut through ambiguity.
Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to move easily between technical details and strategic business discussions.
BS/BA in a technical, business, or related field; MBA a plus.
