The Senior Portfolio Enablement Lead is a strategic portfolio transformation role responsible for shaping and enabling Humana’s portfolio operations, Agile Release Train (ART) design, and Ways of Working across the portfolio. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior executives (SVPs, VPs, and portfolio leaders), the role translates transformation strategy into scalable execution by diagnosing portfolio delivery challenges, guiding organizational design, and improving alignment, flow, and value delivery. It combines deep expertise in Lean Portfolio Management, Agile at scale, and large-scale change with strong facilitation, coaching, and data-driven decision-making to influence portfolio priorities and outcomes. The position emphasizes enterprise enablement over delivery management, driving continuous improvement, Lean adoption, and cultural change while partnering across business and technology teams to optimize performance, metrics, and operational excellence in a complex, fast-paced environment.

The Senior Portfolio Enablement Lead serves as a strategic leader driving the development and executionportfolio-wide transformation of Humana’s Ways of Working by shaping and enabling portfolio operating models, ART design, and leadership behaviors across the enterprise. In this high-impact role, you will collaborate with business and technology leaders. The role partners directly with SVPs, VPs, and senior leaders to influence how portfolios are operationalized, prioritized, and executed to achieve measurable business outcomes.This role requires strong strategic thinking, analytical rigor, executive communication skills, and the ability to thrive in an environment that is fast-paced, collaborative, and often ambiguous.

As a trusted advisor, you'll partner with stakeholders and executives to align organizational design and portfoliosolutions with business priorities and regulatory standards, playing a pivotal role in achieving outcomes. The Senior Portfolio Enablement Lead is responsible for driving improvement of processes and systems across multiple sites. This position will provide leadership, planning, process development, and Lean implementation coaching. to meet strategic goals and objectives as defined by site leadership. Responsible for leading overall activities executed in coordination with other site based Continuous Improvement Coordinators to collectively improve operational excellence and achieve our overall goals as an organization.

Rather than focusing on ceremony or framework purist process adherence, this role is accountable for helping leaders translate transformation strategy into practical, scalable execution-improving alignment, predictability, and value delivery across portfolios and value streams. The Sr. Portfolio Enablement Lead brings deep expertise in organizational transformation, operating model design, and large-scale change, and applies that experience to guide leaders through complex, multi-layered transitions.

The role works across one or more portfolios, facilitating critical decision-making sessions, diagnosing systemic delivery challenges, and advising leadership on tradeoffs, flow efficiency, and structural improvements. It plays a key role in evolving portfolio and ART design to support enterprise agility, while fostering a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and innovation.

This position may support PI-level planning and high-visibility initiatives, but the emphasis is on enterprise enablement and transformation-not delivery management. The role operates with significant autonomy, exercising judgment within broad frameworks and influencing enterprise standards, practices, and transformation strategy.

This role sits within the Office or the COOin the Technical organization, staying neutral and serving the product/business organizations to form a One Team portfolio team.

As a Senior Portfolio Enablement Lead,you will:

  • Partner with portfolioand organization leadership to developand enable portfolio, aligned to enterprise portfolio operationsto achieve portfolio initiativestheir outcomes.
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative assessments, including stakeholder analysis and change impact assessments, to develop data-driven change strategies for key stakeholder groups.
  • Build and manage portfolio transformation roadmapsto drive executive buy-in and sponsor engagement across technology and business/productleadershipand leadership to drive understanding and adoption of key changes
  • Develop Release Train Engineersto our Humana Ways of Working and enterprise tooling subject matter experts for Agile Release Trains and Scrum Teams
  • Measure effectiveness of change interventions through defined metrics and continuously evolve plans to optimize adoption outcomes
  • Regularly report activity status to organizational, portfolio and transformationleadership; proactively escalate and help resolve risks and issues
  • Partnerswith leaders to align all continuous improvement goals and objectives
  • Partner with Release Train Engineers in the portfolio to monitor activity level of continuous improvement, adoption of Humana Ways of Working, risks patterns andadditional support needed to achieve desired results.

  • Proven role-based career experience in SAFe environments as a Scrum Master, RTE, Enterprise Agile Coach, Enterprise Transformation Coach and standing up a portfolio to operating exceptionally
  • Influence portfolio roadmapprogress and risk mitigation by representing feedback and progress from the Agile Release Trains.
  • Provide oversight to ensure ways of workingadhere to enterprise standards for portfolio operations, tooling, adoption AI, security, and optimized process.
  • Promote a mindset of enterprise thinking, focusing on long-term sustainability rather than point solutions.
  • Mentor leaders, program and project managers, Product Managers, Architects, Product Owners and Scrum Masterson end-to-end, process-oriented designed and systemsthinking.
  • Identify areas with other functional leaders, associates, and customers to develop significant lean opportunities for improvement throughout the organization.
  • Network with internal/external team membersto bring best practices to lean projects and the organization.
  • Develop, communicate and deliver training materials for Lean processes and principles, as well as other training materials as necessary.
  • Provide education and mentoring to employees on Lean principles and techniques.
  • Facilitates and leads the continuous improvement process by identifying training needs and providing training in problem solving methodology, problem solving workshops, Value Stream Mapping, etc.
  • Ensure open communication throughout the site by creating a culture of transparency, ensuring leaders are not only informed but understand need actions or risk mitigation,
  • Guidethe development and maintenance of organizational goals, multi-layer objectives and metrics are being met to achieve the outcome, not the metric andthe importance of data hygiene and practices to enable data-driven decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Information Technology, or related field
  • SAFe Program Consultant (ASPC) 6.0 (advanced level)
  • Prosci Change Management certification
  • Experience with Agile lifecycle management tools (e.g., Jira Align, Azure DevOps)
  • Experience in healthcare or health solutions industry
  • Experience in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Knowledge of Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC)
  • Mentoring andpartnering closely with Product Management
  • Experience in working in a Fortune 500 corporation

Required Qualifications

  • Enable and operationalize ways of working in an Enterprise Data enabler portfolio with at least 1 year of demonstrated success
  • Active SAFe® certification: SPC 6.0 (or obtained within 6 months of hire)
  • 8+ years of related experience enabling business and technology portfolios,including experience working with senior leaders in anadvisory capacity
  • Strong understanding of Lean Portfolio Management and Agile,methodologies at scale
  • Demonstrated change management expertise
  • Demonstrated ability to support execution across value streams and complex initiatives
  • Proven facilitation of Value Stream Identification and Value Stream Mappingto build value-based portfolios, Agile Release Trains and Teams.
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with Technology, Product, Business, and Portfolio teams as their trusted guide and domain expert
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching skills, mentoring skills with strong emotional intelligence
  • Passion for improving consumer and associate experiences through continuous improvement

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$115,200 - $158,400 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
