Humanoid is a British robotics company founded in 2024 that is developing general-purpose humanoid robots for industrial and logistics work. Its argument for a human form is practical rather than aesthetic: warehouses, factories and buildings were designed around human reach, stride and grip, so a robot shaped like a person can be deployed without rebuilding the environment around it. Headquartered in London and backed by venture investors, it is developing both a wheeled and a bipedal platform and competes with considerably better-funded American and Chinese efforts in the same field.

Here at Humanoid, we believe in a future where robots amplify human potential. That’s why we’ve set out on a mission to build the world’s most capable, commercially-scalable, and safe humanoid robots. We’re bringing that mission to life with HMND-01 Alpha - our rapidly developed humanoid platform now running in real industrial pilots - and we’re growing the team to take it even further.

Our Mission

At Humanoid we strive to create the world’s leading, commercially scalable, safe, and advanced humanoid robots that seamlessly integrate into daily life and amplify human capacity.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to build and lead Humanoid’s global Warehouse, Inventory, Logistics and Planning function, enabling scalable, reliable and cost-efficient operations across London, Boston and Vancouver.

  • This role operates in a high-complexity robotics supply chain with multi-tier suppliers, long lead times, export controls, make-to-order, and engineer-to-order flows.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory standards across all WILP operations.

  • Act as deputy for the Global Head of Supply Chain & Logistics when required.

Planning and order fulfilment

  • Build a rigorous scheduling process for make to order, assemble to order and configure to order flows, including one piece flow where feasible.

  • Run daily and weekly tier meetings to manage exceptions, shortages, and expedites, ensuring clear root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

  • Lead the available to promise and capable to promise process, including project slotting and allocations during shortages.

  • Ensure export compliance, documentation accuracy and clean handover to carriers and customs partners.

Warehouse and Inventory

  • Develop and maintain inventory management processes to optimise warehouse operations.

  • Oversee and execute inventory counts, reconciliation, and audits.

  • Monitor and manage stock levels to meet customer demands and avoid overstock or shortages.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve inventory processes and accuracy.

  • Lead and mentor the WILP teams at group and operational levels to achieve department goals.

  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.

Logistics & Supplier / Customer focus

  • Define and manage the distribution network for scale and mass deliveries, including central DCs, regional DCs and cross docks.

  • Select and manage 3PLs (and potentially 4PLs), carriers and freight forwarders with clear SLAs and quarterly performance reviews.

  • Implement transportation management, route optimisation and consolidation rules that protect OTIF and cost.

  • Strong understanding of Incoterms and global trade compliance.

  • Good understanding of logistics processes across the Americas, UK, and Europe.

  • Ensure warehouse processes, WMS usage, inventory accuracy and cycle counting reach Group standards.

  • Build fulfilment playbooks for panel builders and system integrators, including call off models, kitting, pre assembly and sequenced deliveries to site.

  • Create a proactive milestone tracking and communication model that gives customers crystal clear ETAs and risks.

  • Agree service level agreements by customer segment, including OTIF targets, lead time windows and communication rules.

We’re Looking For:

  • 10+ years of direct Warehouse, Inventory, Logistics & Planning experience, ideally in manufacturing, robotics, technology, aero / defence, automotive or FMCG.

  • Proven experience establishing or scaling direct WILP functions.

  • Awareness of export controls (including EAR) relevant to robotics and technology.

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Slack, and database management.

  • Hands-on experience with ERP (for example SAP S4HANA), APS, WMS, TMS and analytics tools such as Power BI.

  • Proven success serving project based or engineer to order customers.

  • Proven leadership of multi-site or multi-region operations and external logistics partners

  • Expertise in S&OP, master scheduling, MRP and inventory optimisation.

  • Strong analytical, numerical, and planning capabilities.

  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder-management skills.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, engineering-driven environment.

  • Highly organised, adaptable, and able to manage shifting priorities.

  • Professional, motivated, and able to operate autonomously and within teams.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive equity: stock options with meaningful upside as we scale.

  • 30+ days time off, including 23 days annual leave, all UK bank holidays, and additional company closure days (including Christmas-New Year shutdown).

  • Private healthcare, including virtual and in-person care.

  • Pension scheme with 8% total contribution (5% employee, 3% employer) on full earnings.

  • Free daily breakfast, catered lunch, and snacks in-office.

  • Work at the frontier - collaborate daily with world-class engineers, researchers, and product experts building the next generation of AI and humanoid robotics.

  • Real ownership - direct access to founding leadership, meaningful input on product direction, and the ability to drive key initiatives from day one.
