Position Overview:

We're looking for an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Engineer to join our Production team at UniLux in Boxtel. As part of Hunter Douglas, UniLux develops and manufactures high-quality insect screen solutions for both the Dutch and international markets. Based at our production facility, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of our production equipment. 

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing machinery and installations across the production environment. You will work with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and automation systems, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum operational efficiency. 

This is a fully onsite position, requiring attendance at our Boxtel office five days per week.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery and equipment
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and automation-related faults
• Support the installation, commissioning, and optimization of new machinery and production systems
• Minimize machine downtime through effective troubleshooting and repair activities
• Read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics
• Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with company standards
• Identify opportunities for process and equipment improvements
• Collaborate closely with production teams to maintain efficient operations
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production environment

What We’re Looking For:

• MBO or HBO qualification in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related technical field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a maintenance engineering or similar technical role
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering, mechanics, and pneumatics
• Knowledge of hydraulics is considered an advantage
• Experience repairing machinery and industrial installations
• General knowledge of automation, electronics, and industrial production environment
• Ability to independently troubleshoot and solve technical issue
• Ability to read electrical and pneumatic diagrams
• Good communication skills in both Dutch and English
• Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to work effectively within a team
