Job Description Summary:
The Installments Card Product Director has leadership responsibility for Installments card product portfolio including strategy development, roadmap initiatives, program execution, and profit optimization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy Development:
- Lead the Installments card business, including the design and execution of product strategies to drive growth and profitability.
- Develop long-term strategic plans and set business targets, budgets, and KPIs for the portfolio and ensure that they are achieved.
- Align strategy and product roadmap with senior leadership with company-wide goals.
Product Development & Innovation:
- Oversee the development of new and innovative installments card products, features, and benefits to meet evolving customer needs and drive profitability.
- Drive innovative solutions by researching emerging trends and customer behaviors, while ensuring alignment with the brand strategy.
- Formulate go to market strategy with cross functional partners including marketing and communications
- Partner across the enterprise to ensure effective implementation of new products and features.
Customer Acquisition & Retention:
- Partner with Data and Analytics, Marketing and Product analytics to create test and learn strategies, iterate rapidly to drive customer engagement, deepening and household growth
- Lead cross functional team of partners including Marketing, analytics, technology and credit risk to drive installments campaigns.
- Leverage customer data and insights to improve the value proposition and customer experience.
Risk & Compliance Management:
- Ensure that all installment products comply with relevant regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards.
- Develop and monitor risk management frameworks and work with cross functional partners including credit risk, fraud prevention, collections and disputes for Installment card products.
- Monitor portfolio performance and adjust credit policies as necessary to mitigate risk and ensure a healthy portfolio.
Team Management:
- Build, lead and mentor a team of product managers and collaborate with cross functional group of partners including analysts, technology, marketers, and risk managers.
- Foster a culture of high performance, collaboration, and innovation within the team.
- Manage team performance, career development, and training initiatives to build a high-functioning, motivated team.
Financial & Operational Performance:
- Oversee the financial performance of the installments card portfolio, including revenue generation, cost management, and profitability.
- Proactive outreach and communication on product performance to key stakeholders. Strong willingness and ability to incorporate stakeholder feedback and adjust product and/or go to market strategies to drive growth.
- Monitor operational metrics such as customer acquisition costs, utilization rates, and charge-off rates to optimize performance.
- Report regularly to senior management on key performance indicators (KPIs), financial results, and strategic initiatives.
Partnership Management:
- Develop and manage relationships with key external partners, including third party vendors, payment networks, fintech companies, and credit bureaus.
- Negotiate favorable terms with external partners to enhance product offerings and drive customer acquisition.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years of Card or related payment products, oversight and experience.
- 5+ years working with payment third party vendors for core payments capabilities (processing, core payment functionality)
- 5+ years in demonstrated experience in product development, forecasting, business case development, strategic planning, project management and tactical implementation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree
- Deep knowledge payment products and financial services.
- Experience with BNPL or installments products
- Familiarity with emerging trends in Consumer and Business BNPL and installment payments including competitive landscape and third-party vendor capabilities
- Experience evaluating Third Party capabilities and organizational fit
- Experience with technical implementations involving one or more vendor partners
- Experience with product innovation, customer acquisition strategies, and digital transformation in the payments space
- Strong financial acumen and ability to drive profitability
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent strategic thinking and decision-making abilities
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong understanding of credit risk, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance in the credit card industry
- Demonstrated ability to quickly analyze situations and risks, determine paths of action, and execute flawlessly
- Excellent skills with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Candid and concise communication skills
- Excellent executive-level presentation skills
- Must be savvy and passionate about driving execution and results
- Strong team player; prioritizes team accomplishments over individual prioritiesy

Compensation Range:
$125,000 - $255,000 Annual SalaryThe compensation range represents the anticipatedlow and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and education. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.
