Role Overview:
Huntsman has an exciting opportunity for a Production Technician to join its operations team at the Wilton site, within the Polyurethanes division. Operating in a COMAH-regulated Nitrobenzene and Aniline facility, this role plays a critical part in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient production to meet quality and business requirements.
This is a hands-on, plant-based position for individuals who value safety, teamwork, and operational discipline in a structured industrial environment.

Role Responsibilities:
As a Production Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Operate plant and process equipment safely, efficiently, and in line with all site procedures and environmental standards
- Take responsibility for the operation and isolation of equipment within the assigned area
- Monitor processes, record operational data, and respond to abnormal conditions or alarms
- Carry out first-line troubleshooting and support safe start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and compliance at all times
- Proactively identify equipment or process deficiencies, support root cause analysis, and contribute to corrective actions
- Escalate issues appropriately and work collaboratively with Shift Managers, Engineers, and other functions
- Actively support continuous improvement and shared learning across the site
Experience and Competencies:
We are looking for experienced candidates with:
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant technical or vocational discipline
- Experience in a chemical, manufacturing, or process-based industry is strongly preferred
- Trade skills or prior experience in COMAH or highly regulated environments are advantageous
- Comfortable working shifts and operating within a unionised, pay-for-job framework
