Business Analyst

Role Overview

We are looking for a Business & Systems Analyst to play a key role in defining clear business and system requirements for our trading platform - MT5/ DxTrade / ICTrade. The role focuses on analyzing and documenting existing processes, eliciting and structuring business requirements, and ensuring consistent, unambiguous requirements are delivered to the development team.

Acting as the bridge between Product Manager and the engineering team, the analyst ensures every integration service meets business needs. This role demands a solid understanding of how trading platforms / mobile trading operate and how they integrate with the wider broker ecosystem - client area, public website, back office systems, payment providers and the trading desk.

A core part of this role is using AI to work smarter. The analyst is expected to apply AI assistants and large language model (LLM) tools to accelerate requirements analysis, documentation, data mapping and test design - always using them responsibly and in line with IC Markets’ data- handling, confidentiality and regulatory obligations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Requirements Gathering & Elicitation

• Work with the Product Owner, other squads and the development team to capture system requirements for ICTrade/ MT5/ DxTrade trade platforms.
• Conduct backlog grooming with the PO for the technical teams to elicit requirements from a broad range of stakeholders.
• Maintain and manage development backlogs aligned with product roadmap planned.
• Continuously identify gaps, redundancies and opportunities for process improvement.
• Collaborate with the Product Manager, Technical Lead, other Squads and developers to design business flows and system solutions for trade platform(s).

2. Documentation

• Produce requirements, business process and flow diagrams, and data mapping across ICTrade / MT5/ DxTrade.
• Maintain a robust knowledge base so other teams can collaborate with the trade platform squad effectively.
• Work with Product Owner and create guides and user manuals for stakeholders where needed.

3. Testing & Validation

• Participate in system testing, UAT and validation.
• Ensure data accuracy, system stability and compliance across all entities for the trade platform (FSA, ASIC, CySEC, MIFID II).
• Identify and address behavior that is not aligned with the defined business processes.

4. Communication & Change Management

• Act as the liaison between Product Manager and technical teams.
• Support the development team with clearer estimation by resolving requirement uncertainties early.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience as a Business / Systems Analyst working with trading platform-plugins, middleware or similar backend services.
• Hands-on exposure to MT5 and DxTrade; familiarity with DxTrade and in-house platforms is a strong advantage.
• Practical, hands-on experience using AI assistants / LLM tools (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT or similar) in day-to-day analysis, documentation or delivery work.
• Clear command of user stories, acceptance criteria and use cases.
• Excellent documentation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable

• Understanding of the broader broker ecosystem - client area, CRM, back office, payments and reporting.
• Exposure to Agile / Scrum delivery and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Awareness of regulatory frameworks relevant to forex / CFD brokers (FSA, ASIC, CySEC, MiFID II).
