About the role
We are looking for an Engineering Director to take ownership of engineering at Idego and build a strong leadership team. As part of our Executive Team, you will work alongside the Management Board to shape the company’s direction, with full accountability for engineering goals and results.

Zakres obowiązków
- Co-managing the company as a member of the Executive Team and owning the goals and results of the engineering area.
- Assessing teams and projects, building a leadership structure and establishing clear ownership across technical areas.
- Overseeing project delivery and the PM team, ensuring high-quality client relationships and proactively addressing issues.
- Leading technical presales and contributing to projects as an architect or tech lead.
- Implementing and developing our AI SDLC methodology for clients and supporting its sales.
- Defining the company’s technology direction: tools, technologies and engineering standards.
- Supporting the design team in building design systems and partnering with the Growth Director on brand and visibility initiatives.
Wymagania
Technical background:
- 10+ years of experience in IT, including hands-on technical work, with a career path from developer to architect or CTO level.
- 5+ years in a management role, including managing other leaders.
- Practical experience implementing AI in the software development process (AI SDLC) and the ability to turn new AI developments into real project practice.
- Presales experience, providing technical support throughout the entire process.
Business and leadership skills:
- Sales experience and a solid understanding of project finances: rates, margins and profitability.
- Experience in recruiting and developing teams, including giving feedback and handling difficult conversations.
- Ability to delegate effectively and build a strong leadership team.
- Experience working with clients of various sizes, from startups to enterprise organizations.
- Full commitment and accountability for your own results and those of your team.
- Readiness to work in an organization going through change and growth.
Nice to have
- Experience with Data projects and Python, which make up a significant part of our portfolio.
- Experience building a professional brand, e.g. publications or conference talks.
