Job Description
IDS is seeking a Senior-Level User Experience (UX) Designer to support the Analysis and Mitigation mission through UX design and front-end development for Agentic Knowledge Management Systems. The designer will conduct user research, develop front-end solutions, and maintain UX documentation to support integration with backend systems and mission workflows.
Key Duties
- Write and maintain front-end code to implement UX designs
- Design and conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability tests to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement
- Develop front-end components using modern web technologies
- Collaborate with backend developers to integrate front-end code with existing backend services
- Ensure front-end implementations meet performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility requirements
- Develop and maintain UX documentation including design guidelines, style guides, technical plans, milestones, and user guides
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with eight (8) years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with six (6) years, or Doctoral degree with four (4) years
- Alternatively, Associate’s degree with ten (10) years of relevant experience, or high school diploma/GED with twelve (12) years of relevant experience
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks including React and Vue.js
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Compensation
- Salary range: $145,000 - $165,000

Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 20 pounds, but may vary depending on the position. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
