Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and fine-tune system performance. Identify bottlenecks in compute, storage, or network layers and implement solutions to maximize efficiency. Automation & Management: Develop robust automation scripts for provisioning, configuration management, and system updates to ensure seamless scalability across the client's infrastructure. Hardware Integration: Collaborate with top-tier hardware vendors to integrate the latest processing units (GPUs/CPUs) and high-speed networking solutions into data center environments. Troubleshooting: Act as the ultimate escalation point for complex technical issues relating to cluster performance, network fabric, and distributed storage systems.
Requirements: Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or Infrastructure Architect specifically focused on High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments. Deep expertise in Linux/UNIX system administration at scale. Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar) and experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef). In-depth knowledge of high-speed networking concepts (InfiniBand, RDMA, advanced Ethernet) and parallel/distributed file systems (Lustre, GPFS, Ceph). Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) in a high-performance context. A solid understanding of data center security protocols and best practices.
