The Junior Accountant plays a key role in daily business operations, serving as a general ledger accountant and bookkeeper. This role works closely with the accountant and accounting manager to support core accounting functions. It requires applying accounting knowledge to problem-solving and investigating balance sheet variances. This position is ideal for someone seeking hands-on responsibility, continuous learning, and broad exposure to accounting and finance.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- 1+ year of general ledger or bookkeeping experience
- Knowledge of GAAP principles
- Experience with general ledger processes and Microsoft Excel
- Understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliation procedures
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to qualify for a U.S. Government security clearance
Onsite | Rotating Day Off (RDO) Schedule
Hours: 9 hours Monday-Thursday, 8 hours Friday, with every other Friday off
Salary: $55k + to align with education and experience
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
