Job Description

Role: Global Data Conversion Lead

Job Summary: Reporting to the Global Director, IT Strategy and M&A, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting ERP deployment projects by working directly with key business stakeholders to cleanse, extract, transform, and load master data and selected transactional data. The source and destination ERP platforms may vary depending on the project.

The Global Data Conversion Lead will collaborate closely with ERP project leadership, Business Process Owners, Business Analysts, the Master Data Management team, Data Engineering, Integration teams, and IT Management to ensure a high standard of data quality throughout ERP implementations.

This is a hybrid position requiring three days per week onsite at the Mississauga office. Approximately 10% business travel within North America and Europe may be required.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop standards, guidelines, processes, and expertise for converting data from legacy ERP systems into enterprise ERP platforms
• Establish standardized processes, procedures, and tools for data conversion activities
• Perform data mapping between ERP platforms
• Cleanse and normalize master and transactional data
• Perform data duplication checks and cross-referencing
• Prepare master and transactional data load files
• Manually input data changes directly into ERP systems where required
• Monitor recurring exception reports and initiate data clean-up opportunities
• Track, report, and measure data conversion activities and results
• Work with end users to identify data standardization opportunities
• Leverage ERP system knowledge to identify and develop process efficiencies
• Collaborate with ERP project leadership, Business Process Owners, Business Analysts, MDM, Data Engineering, Integration teams, and IT Management
• Support data quality initiatives throughout ERP deployment projects
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• University degree required
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
• Strong preference for Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne experience; Microsoft Dynamics 365 or SAP experience will also be considered
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Master Data Management Lead, Consultant, or similar role on large and complex technology projects
• Knowledge and experience with ETL tools such as Microsoft SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Qlik Replicate, or Oracle EDQ
• Knowledge and experience with relational database management systems such as Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• SharePoint experience is considered an asset
• Strong understanding of data cleansing, normalization, mapping, validation, duplication checking, and data conversion processes
• Detail-oriented with the ability to review large and complex datasets to identify patterns, discrepancies, and data quality issues
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to analyze varying stakeholder concerns and work effectively with diverse groups to build consensus
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely to different levels of the organization
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, including experience with Microsoft PowerPoint
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust direction as business and project requirements change
• Ability to travel approximately 10% within North America and Europe
