Senior Platform Engineer

Tasks & Responsibilities
- Take charge of and enhance our AWS and Kubernetes foundations, from VPC upwards
- Develop and deploy Infrastructure as code
- Collaborate closely with security, product, and data teams to align platform support with their initiatives
- Establish and refine SLOs, SLIs, monitoring, alerting, and incident response procedures
- Lead the organization in observability best practices
- Evaluate system health, scalability, and performance metrics to pinpoint enhancement opportunities
- Ensure top-notch incident management processes, automation, and remediation
- Serve as a technical expert for the services under our ownership, handling tasks like cleaning up tech debt, maintenance, and exploring new architecture patterns
Desired Skills
- Proven hands-on experience with ensuring data reliability and observability
- Profound understanding of AWS fundamentals with expertise in EKS/Kubernetes, Lambda/serverless, networking, and multi-AZ systems
- Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), CI/CD, and observability tools
- Real-world example (a silent-failure story) that influenced your work approach
- Solid experience in Go or a notable ability to grasp new languages swiftly
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development
- Background in identity resolution, consent, auth data modeling, and on-call responsibilities
- Strong sense of ownership, candid communication, and a problem-solving attitude
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous exposure to gaming, MarTech, or handling high-volume consumer data
- Experience with identity and consent platforms or migrations
- Interest in the gaming industry
